Update from the President of TCA

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a FANTASTIC week! We’re heating up nicely in Phoenix. Yesterday, as I was tossing my girls into the air and they made some pretty big splashes in the pool, we were LOVING it! It’s pretty cool to hear your kids yell “HIGHER DADDY! HIGHER!” I’ve got to enjoy this because in just a few short years I won’t be able to throw them quite so high (or at all). My friend told me he misses those times now that is oldest is eleven and if he tried to throw HER in the pool he would throw out his back. Oh, how age is cruel to us at times! I can throw out my back now by reaching for something. Back spasms are that random gift that reminds you you’re ALIVE and are equally mysterious as to when they will arrive. Picking up a pebble off the floor? ZING! WHOA! OW! HEY! OW! I wasn’t trying to pick up something heavy! Why do you have to do that to me spinal cord? Sheesh. But I digress. For now I’m lucky enough to be able to throw the girls dozens upon dozens of times before I have to take a break because my shoulders feel like they’re going to fall off. In fact, my oldest daughter Sydney came up with a WONDERFUL plan yesterday! It was getting close to time to get out of the pool so Sydney said, “Daddy, why don’t you throw us, we get a pool toy and give it to you as a ticket for the next throw? That way we are picking up the pool toys before we get out AND we’re having fun!” Smart girl! It worked out great! The girls fly through the air, make a huge splash, grab a pool toy, bring it to me, I place it on the side of the pool and then send the picker upper back through the air into pool for MORE! I’m lucky to have such a smart girl who figures out fun solutions to something that’s NOT always fun. Great job, Sydney!

On the work side of things our new servers are humming along nicely. You didn’t break it last week when you opened the newsletter more than 45,000 times. That’s a big relief for me and my team. I also decided to give Top Drug Lawsuits, Top Mass Torts and Legafi NEW LIFE! You’ll see updated versions of those websites within the next two months. They’re being completely redesigned, migrated to WordPress and we will be publishing new content on them as well. Hopefully we’ll get some more traction once we move them onto a system that’s not five years out of date. I was going to shut them down completely, but, we’re still seeing a few thousand viewers per month, per website, and they’re still generating submissions for the attorneys we work with, so I changed my mind and decided to invest in them. Being an entrepreneur is often about making an educated gamble and since it’s only going to cost us a few thousand dollars per site to migrate them I thought, LET’S GO FOR IT! If it works, our viewers get access to more stories and information AND our clients get more submissions from you (our viewers). If it doesn’t, at least we tried! I’d rather try and fail than wonder “if” it would have worked. OK, on to more settlement and lawsuit updates!
