GoodRx is facing a class action lawsuit claiming that the company allowed Google, Meta and Criteo to spy on its customers, and shared customer personal information with those companies without permission.
GoodRx is accused of violating federal wiretapping statutes, consumer protection laws and common law privacy rights by allowing the technology companies to intercept communications between GoodRx and its customers on its website and app.
GoodRx allows the technology companies to have their tracking pixels downloaded on web browsers of customers, the lawsuit alleges.
Those tracking tools and softwares are embedded on the GoodRx website and app along with business analytical tools and the technology companies then gain access to customer personal information and pass it along to advertising companies while monetizing that information, the GoodRx class action says.
“The Pixel then deploys on the Internet browser of each GoodRx platform user for the purpose of watching, intercepting and recording the GoodRx platform user’s electronic communications with GoodRx, including their mouse movements, clicks, keystrokes (such as substantive information being entered into an information field or text box), URLs of web pages visited, and other electronic communications in real-time,” the GoodRx lawsuit contends.
Sensitive physical and mental health information is being released to advertisers, GoodRx lawsuit says
Plaintiffs Thomas Hodges, HaleyRae Cannell, Danielle Benedict, Christopher Britton, Xe Davis and Emily Hoza say that allowing advertisers to have access to Information about their physical and mental health is a violation of confidentiality and releasing that sensitive information can have a direct negative impact on them.
GoodRx also faced a class action lawsuit in March claiming it shared its customers’ medical information with platforms like Meta, Google and Criteo.

I use GoodRX all of the time. They are cheaper than my insurance. I got hit with a significant penalty by Medicare for late enrollment in a Part D program. It’s costing me big bucks because they will NOT see my side of the story. Keep in mind that I am a retired Certified Pharmacy Technician with 36 years of retail experience, and I have NEVER liked the PartD program from day 1.
My 17yo Son was access. hIPPA PROTECTED MEDICAL INFORMATION, PLEASE ADD ME. I’M DONE THIS IS ENOUGH.

I use GoodRx and have not heard about this or the other class action case. Are they state specific? I’m not in Florida
Please add me… GoodRX Gold failed to reimburse me (as mandated in the GoodRX Gold agreement) after a pharmacy refused to honor the GoodRX “Price Lock”
