Heart Symptoms to Watch Out for When Taking Zithromax

Torsades de pointes is a complication of long QT syndrome, a heart rhythm disorder that can cause fast, chaotic heartbeats. These rapid heartbeats may trigger a sudden fainting spell or seizure. In some cases, the erratic heartbeats can occur for a long enough period to cause sudden death.

Those with preexisting heart disease face the highest risk of heart attack and sudden death if taking Zithromax.
