Fresenius Medical Care Caused Non-GranuFlo Fatal Risks

By John Curran

Fresenius Medical Care kidney dialysis lawsuit lawyerWhile Fresenius Medical Care is perhaps most notorious for its kidney dialysis that caused GranuFlo cardiac arrest side effects, the company keeps getting into the news for all of the wrong reasons. One of its centers could lose multiple federal funding packages for potentially fatal conditions that could be even worse than NaturaLyte stroke risks.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) outlined a damning list of allegations against a Fresenius Medical Care facility in West Nashville. Of course, there is a way out for the company unlike claims filed by NaturaLyte heart attack lawsuit attorneys. The CMS is requiring the company to come up with a “plan of correction” by the beginning of next week. Perhaps it should have been greater considering the numerous problems.

Many of the patients receive kidney dialysis outside of the body that requires purified water. While Fresenius Medical Care no longer forces patients to run the risks of NaturaLyte stroke conditions, they did allow rampant bacteria and mold growth around the water purification center. Considering that even bicarbonate can lead to GranuFlo cardiac arrest side effects, bacteria was a severe concern.

What Fresenius Medical Care allowed to happen to one woman is tragic if it didn’t mimic the claims filed by NaturaLyte heart attack lawsuit attorneys. One woman at the West Nashville center had problems when “[w]e didn’t notice her bleeding.” Unfortunately, she had lost nearly one-third of all the blood in her body. Numerous other patients weren’t monitored. It mirrors the problems with GranuFlo heart attack side effects. Technicians didn’t look for bicarbonates and patients suffered.

If Fresenius Medical Care actually faced losing both Medicare and Medicaid funding, then they might install more oversight mechanisms that would protect more people. As it stands, while NaturaLyte stroke conditions are no longer an issue, kidney dialysis patients still face numerous dangers.
