Albany Park has agreed to a nearly $15 million class action settlement to resolve claims it deceptively advertised discounts on its website.
The Albany Park settlement benefits consumers who purchased one or more items from AlbanyPark.com between June 21, 2020, and Oct. 31, 2024.
Albany Park is a furniture retailer that sells couches, chairs and other home furnishings.
According to a class action lawsuit, Albany Park deceptively advertised discounts on its website to trick consumers into thinking they were getting a good deal. Plaintiffs alleged Albany Park advertised false “regular prices” for its products and then advertised discounts off these inflated prices.
Albany Park has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $14,993,930 to resolve these allegations.
Under the terms of the Albany Park settlement, class members can receive either a cash payment or a store credit to the value of $115.
Credit benefits can be combined with any other discount or offer available on AlbanyPark.com. This store credit is valid for 18 months after activation.
Class members who submit a valid claim form can convert their store credit into a cash payment of $115. Cash payments will be issued as either an electronic payment or a check.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 18, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the Albany Park class action settlement is scheduled for Oct. 23, 2026.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 18, 2026.
