Renaissance Entertainment Productions agreed to a $1.9 million class action settlement to resolve claims it failed to disclose service fees for tickets to its New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, New York.
The Renaissance Faire settlement benefits individuals who purchased an electronic ticket to the New York Renaissance Faire between Aug. 29, 2022, and April 4, 2025.
According to the class action lawsuit, Renaissance Entertainment Productions failed to disclose service fees for tickets to its New York Renaissance Faire. Plaintiffs in the case say that these hidden fees violated New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law.
Renaissance Entertainment Productions is a company that produces Renaissance fairs, including the New York Renaissance Faire.
Renaissance Entertainment has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay up to $1.9 million to resolve the hidden ticket fee class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Renaissance Faire settlement, class members can receive a cash payment of up to $20. Renaissance Entertainment also agreed to provide non-monetary relief to consumers by changing the way New York Renaissance Fair sells tickets on its website.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 24, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the class action settlement is scheduled for Sept. 22, 2026.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 24, 2026.
