The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has recovered millions in refunds for consumers affected by fraud and other issues.

Mile High Madison Group refunds

The FTC is sending a second round of refunds to consumers who paid for Neurocet, Regenify and Resetigen-D supplements.

The FTC challenged these supplements’ marketing, arguing the marketers falsely promised relief from pain and age-related ailments. These direct mail campaigns allegedly took advantage of customers who relied on supplement advertisements when purchasing the products.

In October 2021, the FTC sent over $660,000 in refunds to consumers who paid $120 or more for the supplements. Now, the FTC is making additional payments to consumers who paid between $110 and $119.99 for Neurocet, Regenify and Resetigen-D supplements.

Consumers who receive a refund check should cash it within 90 days.

Further questions about these refunds can be directed to Rust Consulting Inc. at 866-216-0252.

BlueHippo refunds

A second round of checks is being sent to consumers in a BlueHippo FTC refund program resolving claims of an online business scam.

In claims dating back to 2008, the FTC accused BlueHippo of misleading customers through deceptive practices. BlueHippo allegedly promised to finance new computers for customers. In reality, the FTC claims, the company collected money without providing the promised computers.

This refund program’s first round of payments was completed in August 2021, with over $51,000 going to affected consumers. Now, the FTC is distributing a second round of payments to consumers who cashed their initial refund check.

Consumers who receive a refund check should cash it within 90 days.

SLAC refunds

The FTC is sending a second round of refunds to consumers who lost money in Student Loan Assistance Center’s debt-relief scheme.

According to the FTC, SLAC — also known as Aspyre — and Navaloan promised to lower or eliminate student loan debt when consumers paid an upfront fee of $699 or a monthly fee of $39. Instead of receiving student loan relief, consumers were allegedly duped into paying yearly a different amount each year or were denied loan forgiveness.

The first round of refunds for this issue, totaling nearly $200,000, was sent in June 2021. Now the FTC is distributing the remaining funds to consumers who cashed their first refund check.

Consumers who receive a refund check should cash it within 90 days.

Consumers could benefit from a $245 million refund program from the FTC, resolving claims that Epic Games locked consumers out of their accounts for disputing Fortnite in-game purchases.

According to the FTC, Epic Games unlawfully locked gamers and parents out of their accounts when they disputed in-game purchases made on Fortnite. The FTC claims that these billing and refund practices violated federal law.

Epic Games agreed to pay $245 million to resolve these claims. This money will be used to distribute refunds to the following consumers:

  • Parents whose children made unauthorized credit card purchases in Epic Games’ store between January 2017 and November 2018
