The Cleveland Browns franchise announced a 20-year partnership with Huntington Bank that includes naming rights to its stadium, which will now be known as Huntington Bank Field.

The partnership also makes Huntington Bank, which is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, the official and exclusive banking partner of the Cleveland Browns.

Huntington Bank is thrilled to create this partnership and make this investment in the Cleveland Browns and Northeast Ohio,” Steve Steinour, Huntington Bank chairman, president and CEO, says in a statement

The partnership comes as Huntington Bank is involved in a Top Class Actions’ class action lawsuit investigation involving improper non-sufficient fund fee bank charges, although there is no evidence it has done anything wrong —

The class action lawsuit investigation looks into NSF fees and whether Huntington Bank and a number of other banks improperly charged them. Many consumers are unaware it is unlawful for a bank to charge more than one NSF fee for a single failed transaction.

Huntington Bank reduced fees in July 2022

A bank charges an NSF fee when a customer initiates a transaction larger than the amount of money they have in their account.

However, many banks including Bank of America, BMO Harris and Citibank, eliminated NSF fees in and around 2022, Bankrate reports

Huntington Bank reduced overdraft fees to $15 per occurrence in July 2022 while also limiting the amount of times customers can be charged such fees to three per day, Bankrate reports

In addition, Huntington Bank reportedly announced at that time that it wouldn’t charge fees on accounts overdrawn by less than $50.
