Las Vegas Strong with hand in heart shape.Plaintiffs who have filed a Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting lawsuit have accused both Live Nation, the American live-events company based out of Beverly Hills, and MGM of inadequate security policies, of improperly surveilling the premises, and a slow response in responding to the horrific massacre.

The victims of the Oct. 1, 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting have accused the defendants of negligence among other charges for damages they’ve suffered from that fateful day.

During the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting, 546 people were injured and 58 people were killed after a gunman opened fire at a crowd of concertgoers and fired more than 1,000 rounds at more than 22,000 people. The gunman was later found dead in his hotel room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The horrific mass shooting gripped the nation and left thousands with emotional injuries, such as PTSD, that can never go away.

Individuals, including staff, who were inside the gates of the festival at the time of the shooting may be eligible for financial help for missed work, medical bills, and counseling for PTSD and other injuries. If you or a loved one were inside the concert gates, you deserve compensation for your injuries and an attorney that can help.

Route 91 Harvest Festival Shooting

Hundreds of lawsuits have been filed by victims of the Route 91 Festival shooting as well as their families. This includes one filed by a number of named plaintiffs against MGM and Live Nation in California federal court.

Allegations being filed against MGM include failure to properly train staff, inadequate security policies, improper surveilling of the premises, a slow response to the shots fired at security guard Jesus Campos, and negligently allowing the shooter to have access to service elevators of the hotel at the Mandalay Bay that allowed him to stockpile and store weapons in his hotel room in the days leading up to the Route 91 Festival shooting.

Allegations against Live Nation include failure to provide sufficient exits, insufficient and improper employee training that would prepare them for cases on emergencies and unforeseeable terrorist attacks, and failure to use media equipment, such as media boards, loudspeakers, and video monitors, at the Route 91 Festival shooting that could have prevented more injuries from occurring.

A civil lawsuit filed by any individual inside the gates of the festival at the time of the shooting can recover compensation for a multitude of damages endured if successful. Damages may include loss of earnings due to missed work; expenses for funeral costs, personal injury, wrongful death, past and future medical expenses, and counseling for emotional trauma suffered such as for PTSD.
