Update: Palmer v. Sprint Settlement Checks Being Processed
By Kimberly Mirando
Settlement checks for the Palmer v. Sprint solicitation call class action settlement will start going out by the end of the month, according to one of the attorneys representing the class.
“We are now advised that Sprint is in the final stages of verification of claims and calculation of payments, and payments should start no later than the end of April,” attorney Rob Williamson of Williamson & Williams told Top Class Actions.
A federal court approved the Sprint class action settlement in October 2011 but distribution of settlement funds was delayed by an objection by a settlement Class Member. The objection was overruled by the court, which was subsequently appealed by the same Class Member.
On February 14, 2013, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the District Court’s judgment and order of final approval. Claims are now being processed according to the final approval order and settlement agreement.
Current and former Sprint customers who received a solicitation/telemarketing call from Sprint between 2005 and 2011 and submitted a valid claim by the deadline of November 21, 2011 will receive one of the following awards:
– Category (1) Class Members could receive up to $500 per incident with a maximum of $2,000.
– Category (2) Class Members could receive up to $100 per incident with a maximum of $400.
– Category (3) Class Members could receive up to $500 per incident with a maximum of $2,000.
– Class Members who fall into all three categories could receive up to a maximum amount not to exceed $4,400.

Hate to say it guys but i spoke with the actual attorney office Williams, they have stated that there is no indication how many of us there are and not likely we will see a significant amount. On flip side all the interest accrued on the monies does go towards claimants. I think we will receive a check before 800 number is updated. Just my opinion.
I called the 800# as well the only repeat what the website says. I think they know about as much as we do. By my calendar this s the end of the month. SHOW ME THE MONEY
I called and spoke w/a live person today who says no checks have went out as yet nor did she have amounts yet. She said to call back at the end of the month -__- Or they will update the website when the checks go out.
I don’t think anyone has received a check yet, they can’t even tell you how much you are getting. It’s already 4/25/13 I guess they will wait until the abosolute last day of the month….
