Sur La Table Class Action Settlement
By Kimberly Mirando
A federal court has preliminarily approved a class action lawsuit settlement with Sur La Table and customers who purchased goods using a credit card. If you used a credit card at a Sur La Table store in California and were asked to provide your ZIP code or phone number, you may be entitled to a $13 merchandise certificate from the class action settlement.
The Sur La Table settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, titled Amanda Georgino v. Sur La Table Inc. and Consolidated Cases, that alleges the retailer violated California law by requesting and recording personal identification information during credit card transactions. This information includes addresses, ZIP codes and/or phone numbers.
Sur La Table denies it did anything wrong, but has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation.
Class Members of the Sur La Table class action settlement include any one who used a credit card to purchase goods from a California Sur La Table store between the dates of February 16, 2010 and February 11, 2011.
Class Members can claim a $13 Sur La Table merchandise from the class action settlement if they submit a Claim Form by March 11, 2013.
Claim Forms and more information on your rights in the Sur La Table Class Action Settlement can be found at the Settlement Administrator’s website. Detailed claims filing instructions can be found in our Open Lawsuit Settlements section.
