UPDATE (2/26/13): Top Class Actions has just been notified that settlement checks from the Sallie Mae TCPA Class Action lawsuit Settlement have been sent! One Top Class Actions reader reports he received a check for $118 — well above the estimated payout. Congratulations to all successful claimants!
A federal judge has granted Final Approval of the amended Sallie Mae class action lawsuit settlement we reported on in April. Class Members who filed claims for the Sallie Mae settlement can expect to receive their checks in the mail shortly.
Sallie Mae agreed to pay $24.15 million to student loan borrowers as part of a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve allegations it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by making a number of non-emergency autodialed calls and/or text messages to the borrowers’ cell phones in an attempt to collect outstanding debt.
Under the terms of the Sallie Mae TCPA settlement, Sallie Mae agreed to pay settlement Class Members between $20 and $40 or reduce their principal balance if they received one of these automated calls between October 27, 2005 and September 14, 2010 and submitted a timely Claim Form by August 31, 2012.

I have never received anything either and it is frustrating that we have not been contacted and the website is not even working.
Have not got anything yet either.
I still waiting my check.
I was scammed by Sallie Mae a long time ago…, I went through a college course that turned out to be a scam…, never got my degree from the college that went under for student loan fraud…, now I am stuck with a 14k debt that jumped to just south of 30k and nothing to show for it. My credit is garbage and I have lost job opportunities for places that hire based on credit, harassed me with over two hundred calls a month, harassed my family. They told me on more than one occasion “you still have to pay even if we recommend the college that scammed you”, then they act like they can’t understand you after that. I wish I had the money to hire a lawyer…

I never received my check either. I have my car and claim number. The site and phone number do not work.
So sad. I have never missed a single months payment to sally Mae though have paid after the due date due to pay period. Once after the due date, they auto dial several times a day my number along with telephoning my parents who co signed. They harass my parents and I feel so bad as I am the primary borrow and have never skipped a payment in 11 years. In 11 years my balance has only dropped 2,000.00. I wished I would have been contacted as part of this lawsuit! Maybe I should bring forth my own lawsuit!
