Kayem Foods is recalling more than 1.5 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products due to potential “temperature abuse” during storage.
The recall affects a wide range of products, including popular brand names, such as Kayem, McKenzie, Triple M, Deutschmacher and Jordan’s. These items were shipped to retail and foodservice locations across the United States and Hong Kong.
The issue was identified after a retail consumer reported receiving warm products on Oct. 1. An investigation revealed that the products were stored in a warehouse cooler that experienced temperature deviations.
The recall was announced by the U.S. Department of Agricultureโs Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on Oct.17.
The affected products, which include hot dogs, bacon, sausages and deli meats, were produced between March 31 and Oct. 7, 2026. They bear establishment numbers โEST. M/P 7839,โ โEST. P 20935Aโ and โEST. M 9520โ inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Consumers advised to discard or return recalled meat products
The FSIS is conducting recall effectiveness checks to ensure the products are no longer available to consumers. Meanwhile, consumers are advised to discard or return the affected products.
Kayem Foods is actively working to address the issue. The company has not received any reports of illness related to the recalled products so far. However, it urges anyone concerned about potential illness to contact a healthcare provider.
For more information, consumers can contact Kayem Foods Customer Service at 800-426-6100 or [email protected]. Additional details and updates will be available on the FSIS website.
Kayem Foods is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
In September, Star Meat Delivery recalled 167,639 pounds of raw meat products, including pork, beef and goat, due to a lack of federal inspection.
