Kind Patches class action claims dopamine patches do not work as advertised

A new class action lawsuit accuses Kind Patches of falsely advertising its transdermal dopamine patches as containing dopamine and providing positive neurological benefits, arguing they do not contain any dopamine and are ineffective at providing the advertised benefits.

Plaintiff Kristen Maggi and three others accuse Kind Patches of misrepresentation since its dopamine patches only contain herbal extracts, such as lion’s mane mushroom and rhodiola.

“Kind’s strategy to create a line of dopamine patches for sale in the supplement market is not accidental,” the Kind Patches class action lawsuit says.

“Since early 2025, Kind capitalizing on the public’s heightened intrigue for biohacks, has developed, distributed, marketed and sold the dopamine patches in the online marketplace and at various retail stores, targeting health-conscious consumers who desire attaining the positive neurological benefits associated with the ‘feel good’ hormone dopamine.”

The plaintiffs want to represent anyone in the United States who purchased Kind dopamine patches during the applicable statute of limitations. They also want to represent separate New York and California subclasses.

Class action: Kind Patches are a sham

The plaintiffs in the Kind Patches class action lawsuit claim: “[Kind’s] representations that its patches contain ‘dopamine’ and will work as advertised is nothing but a sham because the herbal ingredients in the patches are not as effective at providing the same benefits as the actual dopamine chemical or a dopamine agonist via transdermal delivery.”

The plaintiffs allege Kind Patches was unjustly enriched and violated California’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law and Consumers Legal Remedies Act, as well as New York General Business Law.

They demand a jury trial and request declaratory and injunctive relief and an award of monetary damages for themselves and all class members.

In a separate class action lawsuit filed in 2025, a consumer sued Kind Patches for falsely advertising its GLP-1 patches can increase natural GLP-1 levels comparable to actual GLP-1 agonist medications like Ozempic.
