Baby ShampooIf you purchased Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Shampoo or Wal-Mart brand Equate Tearless Baby Wash, you may want to stop using it. A class action lawsuit has been approved this month that claims these products may contain a toxin linked to cancer.

The class action lawsuit, filed earlier this year, accuses Johnson & Johnson and Wal-Mart Stores of selling shampoo and baby wash that allegedly contains methylene chloride, an ingredient banned by the FDA in cosmetics because it’s linked to cancer. The law firm that filed the lawsuit is also investigating Target’s Night-time Bath and Body Wash, which is not currently named in the suit.

A third Johnson & Johnson plant is now also under investigation for alleged quality concerns. The new Johnson & Johnson plant is one that manufactures Pepcid and Mylanta among other products.

I don’t understand why people need to feel so important that it’s necessary to police people in what they can or cannot say here. I don’t know who is trying to sell something, but why do others care. If they have something to offer or help another, what business is it of yours to dictate what is appropriate or not>:o

I trrusted Shaklee products for my babies. They are safe, and they will never be recalled ! Science is behind all the products and the most natural ingredients are used. :-)

Use Water! babies and kids don’t need soap at all, even the natural stuff. Soap strips the natural oils off skin and then the body produces more oils to replace them… it is a viscous cycle. And no, not using soap doesn’t mean not clean.

@alice….apply and rub a little bit of olive or coconut oil into your daughters scalp before she goes to bed. No need to rinse it out. When you wash her hair use a gentle all-natural shampoo. We use Nature’s Gate baby shampoo: http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Gate-Rainwater-Shampoo-liquid/dp/B000I4AC60.

Use Original Sprouts. It’s all organic and helps tremendously. I own a children’s salon and we deal with dilemmas like yours daily. We are Chloe’s Carousel, located in San Diego but you can go on their website and see where there is a salon who sells it near you.
