Consumers who bought Hydroxycut health supplement product, manufactured by Iovate Health Sciences USA Inc., allegedly based on false advertising and marketing are now receiving settlement checks in the mail from a Hydroxycut class action settlement.
Top Class Actions viewers are reporting receiving checks worth about $97.57 in the mail from the Hydroxycut false advertising class action settlement.
These settlement checks stem from the Hydroxycut class action lawsuit known as In re: Hydroxycut Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation, which alleges Iovate engaged in false advertising and misleading marketing claims for their Hydroxycut products.
The Hydroxycut weight loss supplement class action lawsuit alleges that Iovate made misrepresentations of their products with statements that certain Hydroxycut products were “clinically proven” as an effective and safe weight loss supplement. Because 20 other lawsuits made similar claims against Iovate’s product, they were centralized into one Hydroxycut weight loss multidistrict litigation to better facilitate litigation proceedings.
Iovate denies all allegations in this Hydroxycut weight loss supplement class action lawsuit, but agreed to settle in order to avoid the cost and uncertainty of further legal proceedings.
As part of the Hydroxycut weight loss supplement class action settlement, Iovate agreed to pay $14 million to establish a settlement fund, which would go toward awarding Class Members who bought Hydroxycut weight loss products between May 9, 2006 and May 1, 2009.

I have not received my Hydroxycut check I live in Ar. I have my claim number.
People are receiving there checks for for the damage Hydroxycut that has changed my living for ever. And the sum of 95.00 .. My liver is shot, my spleen is not working I have varices lots of them that need to be checked out every 3 mths. I have lost my Independence form not driving due to the toxics in my brain. My body will never fill the same. What about the people who died or the people who are tying to be strong. Who like myself are on Disability.. and just getting buy. Because they wanted to get in shape. And not being told it can damage there Liver and other organs. Any type of drug being sold with out a prescription should be about the side affects, your not sell cloths or candy your selling a drug you don’t know about. 95.00 make me want to cry. I could tell you some stories that i have been relating to my Liver and the inside of my body. I cant believe people are thanking you for the 95.00 …..

I called and they could not find my claim in the system (I did not keep my claim number) but they said that there is about 5 different lawsuits going on and that the personal injury one has not been settled yet.

My mom recd $97.57 about a week ago, but me or my husband nothing. Called both administrators (877-850-1033 and 877-823-7321) and one couldnt find my claim (unfortunately didnt have my claim number) and the other said there hasnt been any update since Nov 2014 at fairness hearing. Whats up? How is everyone receiving checks but administrator has no info???
