As I was on a call with Frigidaire to confirm my warranty repair for this very issue, while scrolling through my email, I saw this Class Action notice- too funny! I use the oven daily to heat a breakfast croissant, and my wife bakes several times a week. So far, so good (fingers crossed). I advised her to do as I do, and be sure to move a t least 10 feet away when first turning the oven on, then after the sigital screen indicates the proper temperature, only then checking the oven door for heat, prior to actually opening the oven door. Such a world we live in!
In February, my oven (purchased Sept 2025) started smelling like gas and making huge flames. Frigidaire sent a company out and the technician recommended that Frigidaire replace the stove. In the meantime, while trying to cook, a huge flame burned my arm. It was only when Frigidaire realized that they couldn’t subjugate responsibility that they informed me that there was recall on this oven and mailed me a new part. It was finally replaced but it took 7 weeks without a working oven. It cost me so much money in take-out and having to throw food away over that time period. Even after it was fixed, I was afraid to use the oven and had dreams about being burned by a large blue flame.
