Individuals who were injured by a Trinity guardrail during an accident may be able to contact a guardrail injury lawyer and recover compensation for injuries and property damage.

Road guardrails are installed on highways and freeways to protect drivers and surrounding communities from damage associated with car accidents.

Guardrails often protect cars from crashing off high cliffs or into bodies of waters.

Guardrails are supposed to be designed so that they peel off the posts and away from a vehicle should a vehicle hit the end of the guardrail.

However, Trinity Industries allegedly changed their design for guardrails in 2005 without notifying the Federal Highway Administration (FDA).

The new resign allegedly decreased the guardrail head by around an inch. Although this change may seem insignificant, it reportedly causes the guardrail to impale cars upon impact instead of peeling away.

A study conducted by Car and Driver found that the changes made to the Trinity guardrail made it four times more likely to be involved in a fatal car accident when compared to previous versions.

This statistic has been shown in practice, with the new Trinity guardrail reportedly causing amputations, serious injuries, and death.

In North Carolina, a 24-year-old man was involved in an accident where a Trinity guardrail impaled the car. From the accident, the young man reportedly broke his arm, leg, pelvis, and eye socket, in addition to injuring his spine.

Another man from North Carolina fell asleep at the wheel and, when his car hit the Trinity guardrail, the rail sliced through the car and cut off both of his legs.

Numerous other drivers have died due to the Trinity guardrail impaling their car and causing a life-threatening injury.

Individuals injured by a Trinity guardrail may be eligible to contact a guardrail injury lawyer and file a lawsuit against Trinity Industries.

Finding a Guardrail Injury Lawyer

Numerous lawsuits have already been filed, alleging that the company failed to inform regulatory bodies of the changes they made.

Other plaintiffs claim that the engineers for Trinity intentionally concealed the changes, deeming them insignificant enough to skip an announcement.

Some individuals further argue that Trinity knew that their changes may endanger consumer, but chose to follow through in order to save money on production.

Even if individuals were driving drunk or recklessly, they may be eligible to contact a guardrail injury lawyer and recover compensation.

In a Trinity guardrail lawsuit, the fault for an accident or crash does not matter. As long as a Trinity guardrail failed and caused injury, a guardrail injury lawyer may be able to recover compensation.

If you or a loved one were harmed after a Trinity guardrail failed to protect you during an accident, you may be eligible to contact a guardrail injury lawyer and file a lawsuit.

Eligible injuries include amputation, dismemberment, broken bones, and death caused by a guardrail impaling a vehicle.
