Monsanto has been hit with a number of lawsuits filed by consumers who say they developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and other types of cancer after using the Roundup weed-killer.

These Roundup lawsuits allege that Monsanto knew that Roundup was linked to cancer for more than three decades. However, the company allegedly continued to market the weed-killer as safe for consumer use.

A woman from Illinois filed a Roundup cancer lawsuit against Monsanto after she developed Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using the weed killer. She alleges that long-term exposure to Roundup caused her to develop cancer.

Recently, 37 Roundup lawsuits pending in 21 different courts were consolidated in a California federal court. These Roundup lawsuits assert that Monsanto knew about the cancer risk associated with its herbicide but it failed to warn consumers about these significant health risks.

According to the Roundup lawsuits, the main ingredient in Roundup weed killer is glyphosate. The plaintiffs allege that the combination of glyphosate with other ingredients, including polyethoxylated tallow amine, causes the weed killer to be more toxic than they would be if glyphosate was used without the combination of ingredients.

What about my veteran husband who was genetically mutated at age 20 by Monsanto’s Agent Orange in Vietnam. He just died of a very rare cancer, or rather the drug Yervoy, the only treatment allowed by the FDA for melanoma regardless of its location in the colon. It killed him in 70 days.
