Readers are reporting that they are receiving checks in the mail from a class action settlement over allegations that Eagle Loan Company charged a higher interest rate to customers than is permitted under state law.
According to reader comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page, Class Members who submitted timely and valid claims for the Eagle Loan interest settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $50 on Mar. 3, 2016.
If you filed a claim for the Eagle Loan Company class action settlement, keep an eye on your mailbox because you may soon be receiving your payment!
The Eagle Loan interest class action settlement resolves claims that between Aug. 2008 and Aug. 2015, the loan servicer charged Ohio customers an interest rate higher than 21 percent.
Eagle Loan denied the allegations but agreed to the settlement to avoid the cost of further litigation.
Class Members included all Ohio residents who took out a loan between Aug. 2008 and Aug. 2015 and had an interest rate higher than 21 percent.
The deadline to file a claim for the Eagle Loan class action settlement passed on Nov. 27 2015.
