Best Buy recalls Insignia pressure cookers due to overfilling risk
Best Buy issued a recall for approximately 930,000 Insignia pressure cookers due to potential inaccuracies in the volume markings on their inner pots. This oversight raises concerns that consumers may inadvertently overfill the pressure cookers, which could lead to the ejection of hot foods and liquids during venting using the quick release method or while the contents are pressurized.ย
Best Buy reported 31 incidents of contents being expelled from the recalled pressure cookers while under pressure, resulting in 17 reports of burn injuries.
The recall includes Insignia pressure cookers with model nos. Consumers should stop using the recalled Insignia pressure cookers immediately. Best Buy will provide a free replacement for the inner pot and a floating locking valve to signal pressure.ย ย
Botanical-Be supplements recalled due to diclofenac presence
Botanical-Be initiated a recall of its Kuka Flex Forte, Artri King and Reumo Flex capsules due to the presence of diclofenac, a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drug (NSAID). These products are considered unapproved drugs as the FDA has not yet established safety and efficacy standards for diclofenac. The affected products include Artri King in 100-capsule bottles, Kuka Flex in 30-capsule bottles and Reumo Flex in 30-capsule bottles.
Specific lot numbers and expiration dates:

Lobster recall affects frozen, refrigerated productsย
Greenhead Lobster Products issued a product recall for all lobster produced from May 9, 2023, through Oct. 19, 2023, due to potential listeria contamination. Although none of the lobster samples have tested positive for listeria monocytogenes, the company initiated the recall as a preventive measure due to the presence of listeria in the processing environment.ย
Listeria monocytogenes is a microorganism that can lead to infections, particularly in vulnerable populations like young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, potentially resulting in severe and sometimes fatal consequences.ย
The affected product, Greenhead Lobster Fresh Cooked Lobster Meat, was available in one or two-pound packages and 12-pound cases, with best-by dates ranging from May 9, 2025, to Oct. 12, 2025, for frozen products and May 27, 2023, to Oct. 30, 2023, for refrigerated items.ย
Kia recalls Borrego vehicles over potential headliner plate defect
Kia America announced a recall affecting more than 22,000 of its model year 2009-2014 Kia Borrego vehicles due to safety concerns surrounding the potential detachment of headliner plates from the vehicleโs headliner, which could elevate the risk of injuries.ย
The recall includes all 2009 model year Kia Borrego vehicles manufactured between May 2, 2008, and Jan. 20, 2009, and all 68 of the 2010-2014 Kia Borrego vehicles produced between Oct. 20, 2009, and May 14, 2013, and sold in the United States.ย
Kia says inadequate adhesive may have been applied to secure the headliner plates in the affected Kia Borrego vehicles, which could potentially lead to detachment during the deployment of side curtain airbags, increasing the risk of injury to occupants.
To address this safety concern, Kia issued instructions to its dealers to reinforce the attachment of headliner plates by applying industrial-strength adhesive tape.ย
