The Children’s Place baby boy rompers recalled due to choking risk
On June 23, the CPSC issued a recall notice for about 10,850 Baby Boy Dino Rompers and Baby Boy Camo Rompers Two Pack in the United States and about 550 in Canada.
According to The Children’s Place recall notice, the metal snaps on the rompers can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
The Dino Romper is a blue, short-sleeve romper made of 100% cotton jersey that has a dinosaur on the left chest; the romper was sold on Amazon to consumers nationwide.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled rompers away from children and return them to any The Children’s Place store for a full refund, the company said.
The Children’s Place recall comes after two reports of snaps detaching from the rompers, the notice states. No injuries have been reported so far.
The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
The company will send an email notice to all customers who bought the product on the firm’s website with instructions on how to receive a full refund for the recalled products.
Richie House Children’s robes recalled due to fire risk
Meanwhile, also on June 23, the CPSC issued a recall notice for about 480 Richie House children’s robes.
According to the recall, the children’s robes fail to meet the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.
“Consumers should immediately take the recalled robes away from children and contact Richie House for a full refund,” the recall states.
The robes were sold at Walmart from March 2021 through March 2022.
In related news, The Children’s Place is facing a class action lawsuit alleging it uses false reference pricing to deceive consumers into believing they get a greater discount than they actually are.
