Skip Hop initiated a recall for around 472,850 of its Silver Lining Cloud Activity Gym products over concerns a piece of the toy can detach and become a choking hazard if a child puts it in their mouth.

The recall includes an additional around 23,280 Silver Lining Cloud Activity Gyms sold in Canada and around 2,240 that were sold in Mexico, according to a recall notice the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission published Feb. 9.

Skip Hop recalled the product after discovering that raindrops on the cloud toy included with the Silver Lining Cloud Activity Gyms can detach from a ribbon, posing a choking hazard.

The recall is specific to the raindrop cloud toy sold with the Silver Lining Cloud Activity Gyms and attached with a plastic ring, according to the Skip Hop recall.

The company advises consumers to immediately remove the raindrops from the cloud toy by cutting them off and then submit a photo of the cloud toy with the removed raindrops online to receive a $10 Skip Hop gift card.

Skip Hop says it received 12 reports of children putting the raindrops from the cloud toy in their mouths; however, it has not reported any connected injuries.

The company sold the Silver Lining Cloud Activity Gyms at various retail stores and online at both amazon.com and Skip Hop’s website for around $85 from between June 2016 and December 2022.
