Rollerblade recall overview:

  • Who: Rollerblade USA recalled about 13,400 of its Rollerblade Fury inline skates and brake supports.
  • Why: The rollerblade recall is the result of brake supports that can fracture or break and create instability.
  • Where: The skates were sold throughout the United States.
  • What are my options: Wilson offers a variety of sporting goods.

Rollerblade USA has issued a recall of its Rollerblade Fury inline skates and brake supports. The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission published the recall, which Rollerblade USA issued because the brake supports can fracture or break, leading to instability.

The recall includes the Rollerblade Fury Black/White and Fury G Black/Pink youth inline skates with adjustable sizes in the range of 12J-2, 2-6 and 5-8. The word “Rollerblade” is printed three times on the skates: on the frame, wheels and power strap.

The skate tongue label includes the SKU number of FURY B BKWH 07067000787 or FURY G BKPK 070671007Y9. The rollerblade recall includes separate brake supports.

Rollerblade USA sold the product between May 2020 and March 2023 for approximately $150 online at amazon.com, dickssportinggoods.com, inlinewarehouse.com and rollerblade.com and at Inline Warehouse, Paragon Athletic Goods, REI and various other sporting goods stores and Rollerblade Fury Inline Skate dealers nationwide. It also sold some skates with gray, non-marking brake pads to schools or instructional facilities for instructional use.

Consumers can receive free repair, rollerblade recall says

Rollerblade USA says it has not received any reports of injury related to the recall so far. The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

There have been 11 reports of brake supports breaking. Rollerblade USA can be reached between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday; at 866-734-5708; via email at consumerservicesUSA@rollerblade.com; or on Rollerblade USA’s website.
