Children’s nightgowns recall overview:

  • Who: More than 5,000 children’s nightgowns sold on Amazon have been recalled.
  • Why: The nightgowns don’t meet federal flammability standards.
  • Where: The children’s nightgowns recall is active in the United States.
  • What are my options: Justice carries many options when it comes to children’s nightgowns.

More than 5,000 children’s nightgowns sold on Amazon have been recalled as the nightgowns don’t meet federal flammability standards.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website published the recall April 13. It applies to about 5,300 Arshiner-branded children’s long-sleeved nightgowns.

According to the notice, the recalled children’s nightgowns fail to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

No injuries have been reported so far, and the company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Recalled Amazon nightgowns consumers should contact Arshiner for full refund

The nightgowns were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com from July 2020 through March 2022 for between $10 and $22.

The 94% polyester/6% spandex nightgowns have a lace-trimmed neck collar, lace hemline and cinched elastic at the wrists. They were sold in sizes 4 through 13 years and in 10 prints that can be seen on the recall notice

Consumers should immediately take the recalled nightgowns away from children, stop using them and contact Arshiner for a full refund, according to the notice.

Consumers should destroy the nightgowns by cutting them both vertically and horizontally and disposing of them in accordance with local state recycling laws. Arshiner and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

This year, Skip Hop, Fisher-Price, Kids2, WeeSprout and Selfie Craft initiated or re-announced recalls involving children’s products or clothing.
