Give and Go Prepared Foods (U.S.A) Corp. has issued a nationwide recall of select muffin products that include Uncle Wally’s and The Worthy Crumb due to a risk of listeria contamination.

This recall is limited to select products, which include chocolate chip, blueberry, and banana nut flavored Uncle Wally’s Twin Muffins, the recall notice says.

The affected Give & Go products have been sold nationwide, but recall only affects select products sold in the United States.

For a full list of the affected products, visit the FDA’s website here.

The Food and Drug Administration says in the recall notice that it became aware of the issue as part of its environmental monitoring program.

“To date, we have received no reports of illness related to this issue and are taking this action out of an abundance of caution,” the notice reads.

It adds that Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

“Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.”

The FDA is urging consumers who have the products to immediately dispose of them and not eat them.

Consumers should make a note of the lot code of the products, which is found on the label, and provide it if they contact us. Consumers can contact the company at 1-844-366-1171 to obtain more information about the recall 24 hours a day. Consumer Relations specialists are available to assist Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm EST.

We have given them with coffee at our coffee cafe. Since recently I couldn’t find them. I had no clue why, but now I know. Small children at our children have gotten sick, stomach issues, and such.

I purchased these muffins from Sam’s, I was the only one that ate them and the only one in the house to get sick. I was admitted to the hospital and have been out of work. Due to the dehydration from the illness I now have a kidney stone. I have made reports and reached to a legal team.
