P.F. Chang’s Beef & Broccoli recall overview:
- Who: Conagra Brands recalled almost 60 tons of P.F. Chang’s-brand frozen beef products.
- Why: The product contains chicken, not beef, as well as undeclared egg.
- Where: The recall is nationwide.
Almost 60 tons of frozen beef products are being recalled nationwide as the products might actually contain chicken, as well as undeclared egg.
Conagra Brands issued a recall notice for 119,581 pounds of frozen beef products sold under the P.F. Chang’s brand July 30 on the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) website.
The recall applies specifically to 22-oz. plastic bag packages containing P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Beef & Broccoli with lot code 5006 2146 2012 and best-by date of May 21, 2023.
“The frozen beef products are labeled as beef and broccoli but contain orange chicken,” the P.F. Chang’s Beef & Broccoli recall notice states.
The problem was discovered when the company received two consumer complaints that the beef and broccoli package contained a chicken-based product. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to the products so far, the recall states.
The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.
P.F. Chang’s Beef & Broccoli recall notice says product also contains undeclared egg
As well as containing orange chicken, the product also contains undeclared egg, a known allergen, the recall states.
The recalled items were shipped to retail locations nationwide. The FSIS said it was concerned that some of the product may be in consumers’ freezers.
“Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the P.F. Chang’s Beef & Broccoli recall states.
Meanwhile, in 2021, the Ninth Circuit reversed the dismissal of a class action lawsuit against P.F. Chang alleging its “krab mix” misleads customers because the product doesn’t contain any actual crab.

Add US; This getting ridiculous! OMG!
I bought pfchangs frozen beef and broccoli a couple of months ago, kept it frozen, and prepared it two nights ago for dinner. This was the first time we’d had this. It had a horrible taste to me. I had my husband taste it( he’ll it anything), and he said it tasted a little bitter, but maybe that’s how it’s supposed to taste. I served it, took a bite of it (with both beef and broccoli) and spit it out! It was inedible to me, like it had agar or soap in it. It was the most bitter taste I have ever tasted! My husband ate maybe 4 ounces of it then stopped. Like I said, he will eat anything. I started to put it down the disposal then thought to capture some in case it needed to be analyzed. My husband had stomach pains and diarrhea yesterday and all last night.
Please add me I was affected, by this claim
