Enjoy Life Natural Brands is recalling 13 baked snack products sold in the United States and Canada as the products may contain hard plastic pieces.

The recall was announced by Mondelez International, Inc on June 30.

It applies to certain cookies, chewy bars, breakfast ovals and brownie bites sold under the Enjoy Life brand, with the full list of recalled products available here.

The company became aware that the baked snack products may contain hard plastic pieces through internal quality assurance surveillance, the company said.

“This recall is limited exclusively to the Enjoy Life products and Best By Dates listed in the grid below which are sold in retail stores and online in the United States and Canada,” it said.

“No other Enjoy Life Foods products are affected by this voluntary recall.”

Discard the product but keep packaging

There have been no reports of injury or illness received by Enjoy Life Foods to date related to these products, the Enjoy Life recall states.

The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

Do not eat the recalled product, the company said.

Instead, throw out any product you may have but keep any available packaging. Then contact the company at 1-855-543-5335 to get more information about how to receive a refund.

In other recent recall news, more than 43,000 solar LED umbrellas exclusively sold at Costco are being recalled as their batteries can overheat and catch fire.
