- Where: The recall is effective in the United States and Canada.
Vornado Air is recalling its SRTH Small Room Tower Heaters due to a significant fire hazard. The recall affects around 255,000 units, including eight sold in Canada.
The issue arises from a defect where the fan blade can detach from the motor shaft, leading to overheating and potential melting of the Vornado heater’s enclosure and internal parts. This defect could result in an internal fire if the thermal cut-off or fuse fails to activate in time.
The recall, announced on June 4, involves Vornado heaters sold in black and white, measuring approximately 12.5 inches high and 6 inches in diameter. These units are marked with “Vornado” and a “V” on the front.
The recalled Vornado heaters were sold in two color variants: the black model (EH1-0084-06, UPC 043765008478) and the ice white model (EH1-0084-43, UPC 043765009390). Both products were marketed under the SRTH heater line and share the same design and functionality.
The heaters were sold at various retailers, including Kohl’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and ACE Hardware, as well as online through Vornado.com and Amazon.com, from August 2013 to May 2026. The heaters were priced between $40 and $50, the Vornado recall states.

The heaters, manufactured in China, were distributed by Vornado Air LLC, based in Andover, Kansas.
