The Red League Children’s Pajamas Recalled Over Burn Risk
On Apr. 21, The Red League announced that it was recalling about 910 children’s pajamas because they reportedly do not meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. As a result, they pose a potential burn risk for children wearing the pajamas.
The recall includes three styles of The Red League children’s pajamas. The first is a one-piece, long-sleeved footed pajama with matching beenie. These children’s pajamas are red and have wooden buttons at the back of the neck. They are made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester and were sold in sizes 6-12 months and 12-18 months.
The Red League also recalled its traditional two-piece pajama sets with long sleeves and pants. These pajama sets are red and trimmed with white piping. They have two front pockets and wooden buttons in the front. They are 80% cotton and 20% polyester and were sold in children’s sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14.
The third type of recalled children’s pajamas include two-piece, long-sleeved and pant pajama sets. They are yellow with a bear embroidered on the chest. The pajamas are made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex and were sold in children’s sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14.
The Red League children’s pajamas were reportedly sold online at the company’s website, at Elle Ella Boutique stores in California and in JellyBeans stores in New York between November 2020 and February 2022.
The recalled children’s pajamas will have a fabric label printed with “The Red League” at the neck. Consumers who own any of the recalled pajamas should immediately take them away from children and contact The Red League for instructions on how to return them for a refund.
No injuries from the recalled children’s pajamas have been reported.
Monti Kids Wooden Push Toys Recalled Over Choking Hazard
Monti Kids issued a recall of approximately 1,375 wooden push toys on Apr. 21 over concerns that they pose a choking hazard to children.
The recalled push toys have a wooden handle attached to a rolling cylinder that contains wooden balls.
The lot numbers (0D41 and 1A41) and the following statement are printed on the underside of the cylinder: “Montessori designs, Ethically made in Vietnam, and ASTM CPSIA Safety Certified.”
The recalled toys were sold online at MontiKids.com between April 2021 and January 2022 as an item in the Level 7 Monti Kids Program subscription box.
Monti Kids says no injuries have been reported, but it has received 145 reports of the rolling cylinder separating from the wooden push toy.
Consumers who own one of the recalled Monti Kids push toys should immediately take it away from children and dispose of the toy. Contact Monti Kids for a $40 refund.
In other children’s recalls, last month, Crate and Barrel announced a recall of some Be the Band Music Sets and Kelly Wynne recalled some of its Mama & Me MINI Children’s Handbags.
