Cargill Inc. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it misled consumers by labeling its Truvia sweeteners as “natural.” If you have purchased Truvia for personal use, you could be eligible for benefits from the class action settlement.
Cargill was hit with two class action lawsuits that challenged its labeling and marketing of Truvia Natural Sweetener products. The plaintiffs allege they were misled by statements on the Truvia labels, which indicated Truvia was “natural.” However, the plaintiffs allege that the Truvia products were not natural because they contained ingredients that were “highly processed” and/or derived from genetically modified organisms. Further, the Truvia class action lawsuits alleged that the descriptions of the Truvia products were inaccurate or misleading and violated the consumer protection and breach of warranty laws of several states.
Cargill denies that its marketing, advertising and/or labeling of Truvia is false, misleading or deceptive to consumers or that it violates any laws. However, Cargill agreed to settle the Truvia false advertising class action lawsuit to avoid the risk and expense of trial.
Under the terms of the Truvia class action settlement, Cargill will offer cash refunds or vouchers to Class Members who submit valid claims. Cargill has also agreed to make certain changes to the labels of its Truvia product and add language to the Truvia website to further describe the ingredients.

I know I filed a claim, but still have yet to receive anything. Anyone with the same issue? (GA)
Still no check in CA:(
Still no check – New York July 14, 2015
I filed a claim and never received a check.. Who do I go to now.?
I never received my check and I did file a form…who do I go to now.
I received my check for the Truvia settlement.
DId anyone else try to cash the check? Ours came back as non-payable and refer to maker, the bank doesn’t know why but guessed it may have been marked stop payment or insufficient funds. Another comment on the board stated their bank did the same thing?
Mine was returned this week also. I was pretty miffed at the $12 returned item fee the bank charged. Called the bank and they said that in SMALL PRINT on the check, below the dollar amount there is a cash by date, which is short dated. My check was dated 5/1/15 and the cash by date was 7/1/15. So, not your typical stale dated item (which is 6 mo) so they got me! :/
I received a check yesterday for $31.51. Not sure why? I never received a check back in May. I thought my claim was denied. Although I only filed 1 claim.
I received my checked tried to cash it at Walmart and it wasn’t authorized. What should I do I am very upset. I have called the Trucua administrator and left a message I don’t know who to contact
