Red bull class action lawsuit is filed.

A $13 million settlement has been reached in two consumer class action lawsuits that allege Red Bull North America Inc. misrepresents the functionality and safety of its Red Bull energy drinks.

The Red Bull class action lawsuit took issue with the beverage maker’s promises that “Red Bull gives you wings” and that it “vitalizes body and mind” due to its unique mixture of ingredients that could supposedly improve a consumer’s mental and physiological performance. However, the plaintiffs allege Red Bull is no more effective than a cup of coffee or a caffeine pill.

In their class action lawsuits, the plaintiffs challenged the scientific studies posted on the Red Bull web site that purportedly demonstrated the superiority of the Red Bull energy drinks over the less expensive products that contain only caffeine. According to the class action lawsuits, there are no scientifically reliable studies that support Red Bull’s claims that the energy drink is superior to the cheaper alternatives.

The Red Bull class action lawsuits made claims for breach of express warranty, unjust enrichment and violations of various states’ consumer protection statutes.

Red Bull denies any wrongdoing and maintains that its marketing and labeling have always been truthful and accurate. However, the energy drink maker has agreed to settle the deceptive marketing class action lawsuit to avoid the burden, expense and risk of ongoing litigation.

You might want to try Dr. Grace Ziem in Maryland, Dr. Thomas Callender of Lafayette , LA, or Chemical Injury Information Network in White Sulpher Spings , MT . You need a civil lawyer, this is just for people that want to collect for misleading claims .

I’ve seen this on SO many forums, and even heard about it in my college. Last toll (a while ago in an article) was at 4.6 million claims, therefore making it around $3.00 per person…. And the deadline is MARCH!!! LOL… we’ll be lucky to get a single dollar, if that, considering how may people already filed. That SUCKS!(for us)… Maybe the 15$ in RB products will be a voucher? Hopefully…

    Hi B. Bodziak,
I read your comment and I just want to let you know that not only is their a heart issue but a B6 issue as well which is just as dangerous since it affects the nervous system. This is through my experience I had and researching the effects of too much B6 since the Dr.’s I’ve seen denied that was the problem which was the only test that came up positive. I was out almost a year. Please if you have time Google B6 hazards and spread the word as I don’t want this to happen to anybody. Everybody is different and some won’t even be affected.

    Regards,
    Warren Millabas

I have tried the verification code twelve times or more. I ‘ve tried using capitals and every thing else, but it doesn’t help. It is not accepted.
