A class action settlement has been reached with apparel manufacturer AG Adriano Goldschmied Inc. and retailer Nordstrom Inc. over allegations they sold clothing with labels that did not properly disclose the fabric’s country of origin.

If you purchased an AG Adriano Goldschmied product in California that was labeled “Made in USA” or “Made in the USA” between 2010 and 2016, you may be eligible to claim one free $20 promo code or one free pair of AG pants per qualifying product purchased.

AG Adriano Goldschmied (“AGAG”) is a leading designer and manufacturer of men’s and women’s denim jean products, including jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses, maternity wear, knits, sweaters, and jackets. AGAG sells it products through its own stores, online, and through high-end retailers such as Nordstrom.

If approved, the AG Adriano Goldschmied settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit (David Paz v. AG Adriano Goldschmied Inc. and Nordstrom Inc.) that alleges the defendants misrepresented the country of origin of various AGAG products from June 4, 2010 to February 29, 2016, by claiming the products were “Made in USA” or “Made in USA of Imported Fabric” when they contained one or more foreign-made component parts that were not disclosed on the label.

The defendants deny the allegations but have agreed a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the litigation and avoid the expense and uncertainty of going to trial.

Who’s Eligible

Class Members of the AG Adriano Goldschmied settlement include all persons who purchased an AGAG product in California that was labeled “MADE IN USA” or “MADE IN THE USA” from June 4, 2010 to February 29, 2016, for non-commercial use, that did not disclose that the product contained one or more foreign-made component parts.

A complete list of eligible products included in this class action settlement can be found here.

Potential Award

Class Members that return a valid Claim Form will be able to choose one of the following options for restitution:

  • One (1) $20 AGAG promo code per qualifying Class product purchased. For example, if you purchased one qualifying product, you can elect to receive one (1) $20 promo code. If you purchased two qualifying products, you can elect to receive two (2) promo codes.

The promo codes can be used toward the purchase of any AGAG product available at www.agjeans.com at the time of purchase. The promo codes shall be fully transferrable. Up to two (2) promo codes can be used per transaction. The promo codes cannot be used in combination with coupons, discounts, or other promotional pricing that may be offered by AGAG.

  • One (1) free pair of AGAG pants per qualifying Class product purchased. The AGAG pants will be available on a first-come/first served basis up to a maximum of 25,000 pairs of pants. The AGAG pants shall be of AGAG’s selection, from current or prior seasons, but in the size and for the gender specified on the Class Member’s Claim Form.
