my pillow class action

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging My Pillow Inc. made false and misleading statements with regard to its MyPillow products, causing consumers to pay more for the products than they otherwise would have paid.

If you purchased one or more MyPillow products between Apr. 26, 2012 and Oct. 13, 2016, you may be entitled to a cash payment from this class action settlement.

The MyPillow class action lawsuit was filed in April 2016 by plaintiff Armin Amiri who claims he purchased the product in reliance on the statements made in advertisements and other promotional material for the MyPillow product.

According to NBC News, My Pillow makes unsubstantiated claims that its MyPillow products can treat or cure several sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and insomnia. The company was recently ordered to pay a $1 million fine for its false advertising campaign.

The MyPillow class action lawsuit asserts the www.MyPillow.com website and product packaging makes the following misleading claims about the benefits of the MyPillow products:

  • “Guaranteed The Most Comfortable Pillow You’ll Ever Own!”
  • “I invented My Pillow to solve all of these sleep problems”
  • “You will go into REM sleep faster and remain there longer for more productive sleep”
  • “Adjusts to any sleep position”
  • “Helps relieve pressure points and gets your body to right temperature for you to get into the REM and DELTA sleep cycles”

My Pillow denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of ongoing litigation. The MyPillow settlement was preliminarily approved on Oct. 13, 2016.

If you would like to opt out of or object to the MyPillow class action settlement, you must do so no later than Dec. 26, 2016.

I filled my information in [5] times and it would not take it. Always said something not right. What a waste for $10.

  2. Gina says:

I have 3 of these pillows and we really like them. Its the first pillow I’ve owned that I can get some relief for my neck and shoulder issue. I’m sure it isn’t the be all end all for ailment, nothing these days is. So I won’t be participating but encourage those that truly feel they’ve been cheated

    1. Connie says:

I have these pillow also. I have not had any neck problems since I started sleeping on MyPillow !

  3. P.morietta says:

Not worth the hassle, I have 4! For $10 ?

    1. BostonHolly says:

Yikes, sorry friend. I almost bought one on several occasions but my sense (other than “common” & only from years of believing bullshite) is that if they are still advertising it so much on late night TV sales must not be what they’d hoped. Word of mouth will always be the best test of time for products like these.

    2. Notafanofmypillow says:

Yeah right, let me spend 5 bucks in shipping to return it to get a 5 dollar check back. Smh.

  4. evelyn says:

Ok so you pay $100 for the pillow and the only reimbursement that a person can get is $5-$10. Seriously!!!

  5. Lisa Opel says:

These pillows were expensive. I’m surprised about the $5.00. I bought two – but am still only getting $5.00 for both. Seems a bit unreasonable.

    1. Sandra Hawkins says:

I bought 3 of these pillows…it seems to me that %4 is nothing for the money I spent on them. Thanks for nothing.

  6. sue newcomer says:

what happened to the dog food law suit. I saved bags

    1. Ken says:

I just got a coupon a few days ago for $5.00 off Nutro which I find to be a superior food for my buddy.

  7. Mike says:

Claim form not working, keeps saying “invalid e-mail address” for no apparent reason.

    1. Dumbass says:

      Is your email valid?

    2. Ken says:

I had the same problem except it kept saying my name was different. It finally worked after the 4th time. I was diagnosed with sleep problems and bought 4 of these expensive pillows and it was no different than my old ones except easier to wash.

  8. Miguel Noche says:

I love my pillow!! Everything they say is true!!

    1. Mike says:

Oh look, it’s an employee of MyPillow pretending to be a happy customer. Hope they get you for fraud.

    2. Ashley Martin says:

I like mine too. I have to wake up in the middle of the night and fluff it up a bit, but I have a bad neck and mine works really great for me. I certainly don’t work for the company either, i’m a nurse. I wouldn’t know how to make a pillow if the directions slapped me in the face. lol

    3. Fs says:

My god. The number of times these fake people said “love” and “true” is overwhelming… It almost makes it too obvious that they’re fake.

  9. John Switzer says:

$5, you know what I and other people paid for these stupid pillows? Was pissed but didn’t think there was any recourse.

  10. Happy with my pillow says:

People are too eager to file lawsuits over frivolous things. The only ones getting rich are the lawyers.

    1. Mike says:
