Settlements have been reached in several class action lawsuits alleging certain mobile content providers sent unsolicited text messages with mobile content sent from Premium Shortcodes in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
These unsolicited text messages allegedly contained content such as ring tones, horoscopes, news and information alerts, and other digital and electronic content to wireless telephone subscribers.
If you are a current or former wireless subscriber who received a text message from certain shortcodes, you may be entitled to compensation from the text message class action settlement.
There are two text message spam class action settlements that have been resolved. The first involves a settlement between plaintiff Cullan and Cullan LLC and defendant CF Enterprises Pty. Ltd., and the second involves a settlement between plaintiff Cullan and Cullan LLC and defendants Post SMS Co. Americas Inc. and Post SMS Co. Qube Inc. (collectively, “PostSMS”).
Cullan and Cullan LLC alleges the defendants sent unsolicited text messages in violation of the TCPA, a federal law that prohibits companies from using automated equipment to send calls and text messages to consumers without their prior express consent.
The defendants deny the allegations but agreed to settle the text message spam class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty associated with ongoing litigation. The parties initially agreed to settle the text cramming class action lawsuits in March 2014, but that proposed TCPA settlement was rejected several months later.
The parties subsequently agreed to revised settlements. The class action settlements were preliminarily approved on Sept. 27, 2016.
If you would like to opt out of or object to the text message class action lawsuit, you must do so no later than Feb. 9, 2017.

Next to impossible to trace if the junk I received years ago came from 25872, 29104, 33288, 44329, 49712, and 70451
Mr Number is an app I downloaded to block calls yesterday so I don’t know if it is going to work yet
Same problem for me…..too many calls from many advertisements and too many text messages, how can we stop this BS?
I keep getting the same type of calls from different numbers but the same BS about my windows being compromised and how they need to fix it. The number when I call back gives nothing but an automated message that the number isn’t a valid number. I live in KY and have an 859 area code.
What happened at the hearing
What I want to know is if there are any pending CALS for current teleaggrivator cases? I have been bombarded with robo calls and I return calls to either get a “NOT A WORKING NUMBER” or I try to get on DNC LIST but the next day a DIFFERENT number calls with the same BS from every area code this side of Israel. This happens EVERY SINGLE DAY except Sunday and I am sick of it and am positive there are 100k more ppl just like me who are equally livid by the constant interruptions. 513.716.8036 and I’ll gladly be the I nitiating claimant
Do not reply to these robocalls. Many of them are scams in the making.
I tired already for so many calls from many advertisements.
Yes I have finally blocked all unnecessary calls from many advertisements that I didn’t even apply for or know anything about…..my block list is huge…I get calls sometimes in the middle of the night due to time difference from West Coast to East Coast…
I was getting inundated with these texts. It go so bad I had to block all texts and setup a trusted list.
