The Home Depot Inc. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit with consumers whose email or payment card information was stolen as a result of a data breach.
If you used a credit or debit card at a self-checkout lane in a Home Depot store between Apr. 10, 2014 and Sept. 13, 2014 or received notice from Home Depot that your information was compromised as a result of the data breach, you may be entitled to benefits from the data breach class action settlement.
In September 2014, Home Depot announced that it had been affected by a data breach that compromised the credit and debit card information from customers who used a self-checkout counter at U.S. Home Depot stores. The retailer was subsequently hit with several Home Depot data breach class action lawsuits filed by customers who claimed Home Depot failed to adequately safeguard their payment card and personal information. The plaintiffs also alleged that Home Depot did not provide affected customers with timely notice of the data breach.
Home Depot denies the allegations but agreed to settle the data breach class action lawsuit to avoid the cost and uncertainty of trial.

I always shop at The home depot
I always get my receipts emailed to me. Do qualify?
When they emailed me, they just said that I was getting one year of a company to monitor my credit. Never did anything more then that. I asked for a print out for all purchases made from my Home Depot credit card, to review anything that I never made a purchase of, but it was ignored. I have auto pay on my accounts. So I never see what purchases was made, my bill just gets paid in full. My own fault, that is why I don’t shop at home depot anymore. Same with Wendy’s fast food. Paid with my bank card and someone across the country made purchases from the info that came from Wendy’s data breach. I had to get new card from my credit union, to stop purchases being made in my name and account.
I reconcile my credit card every month. if did as you, I would be out more than 1000.00. you have to review your credit card statement .
