    Per Settlement Website:

Important Update Regarding Status of Payments: Due to the seasonal nature of Godiva’s business, there has been a delay in funding by Godiva, and therefore payments to Class Members did not go out on September 13, 2022, as originally scheduled. The Court has been informed of the situation (see letter dated September 19, 2022 in the Documents section), and a revised schedule regarding payments will be will be submitted to the Court shortly. Thank you for your patience. Please continue to check back for updates regarding the status of your settlement payment.

I thought that they had to have the $ in the account when it was expected. He we are allowing another big corporation to do whatever they want. The money they make in interest by delaying this will pay for the settlement. They’re should be penalties for actions like this.

  9. Chris K says:

From case docket (Sept 19, 2022)

An attorney for the plaintiffs have informed the court (9/19) that settlement payments were supposed to be made to claimants on September 13, 2022 but Godiva who was supposed to fund the settlement by August 14th has yet to fund the settlement and it needs more time. Plaintiff attorneys and Godiva continue to meet to discuss a revised schedule to fully fund settlement benefits. And will keep the court informed.

So thats it folks. More waiting….

Someone said that payments should be coming this week and I think they are correct. The settlement became effective on August 1st and the settlement agreement says that payments are to be made within 45 days of the effective date.

    1. Jay Liesner says:

I did not receive my payment anyway.
