JPMorgan Chase Bank NA has agreed to settle a Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) class action lawsuit that alleged the financial institution violated federal laws by placing calls to cell phones between Nov. 18, 2009 and May 19, 2015, through the use of an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice without prior express consent.
Chase denies these allegations and any claims of wrongdoing; however, it has agreed to settle the TCPA class action lawsuit (Allen v. JPMorgan Chase Bank NA)Â in order to avoid the expense and risk of further litigation.
This is a separate Chase TCPA class action settlement from a similar one (Gehrich v. Chase Bank NA) filed in 2014 that will be open to accepting claim forms from potential Class Members until Sept. 10, 2015. In the Chase TCPA class action settlement reached last year, Class Members include individuals who received collection calls or wrong-party automatic alerts between July 1, 2008 and Dec. 1, 2013.
UPDATE: On Mar. 15, 2016, Top Class Actions readers started receiving checks from this JPMorgan Chase TCPA class action settlement worth as much as $400.79.

I received an email from Matt Seckel from the law firm representing the clients. He adv. checks will be around $70.00, and if they are not received by the end of the month to let him know. Not sure where others are getting the $400 from, unless its another suit.
I wrote to the Class Attorney he told me all the checks are about for $70.00
Told the same thing also said that they were mailed on the 13th and if I didn’t receive by the end of the month to email them back 70.00. It is strange that the claims administration who processed the checks won’t answer the number that’s available.
Hi Jennell – I was told the same thing. Checks would be about $70….and to let them know if we don’t receive it (By the end of this month) I wonder where people are getting checks for the $400 amounts?
i am began to smell a rat, know one has posted a picture of chase $400 nor $70 check of that matter.you can not reach admin office, only law office that answer phone, give it another week he stated to me.i smell a rat yall.
Is there a number to call to see if you will receive a check?
