Telebrands Corporation has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it made false and misleading statements regarding its Pocket Hose expandable garden hoses. If you purchased Pocket Hose products, you may be entitled to a cash payment from this class action settlement.
The Pocket Hose class action lawsuit alleges Telebrands made false and misleading statements in connection with the sale and marketing of certain Pocket Hose products. The plaintiffs also assert that the Pocket Hose products are defective.
The Pocket Hose was reportedly first introduced through television infomercials. The expandable garden hose was advertised as “a rugged and durable garden hose” that is “strong enough for any job.”
However, consumers have complained that the Pocket Hose is defective because it is prone to leak or burst when used in the manner advertised. This defect renders the Pocket Hose useless, the consumers allege.
Telebrands denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the Pocket Hose class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation. The Telebrands class action settlement was preliminarily approved on Nov. 4, 2016.
If you would like to exclude yourself from or object to the Pocket Hose settlement, you must do so no later than Feb. 20, 2017.
Telebrands has previously agreed to settle a class action lawsuit involving similar allegations. That Pocket Hose settlement provided cash benefits to consumers who purchased the products between Nov. 6, 2009 and Jan. 30, 2014.

I filed 4 claims and never received a penny
I never received a settlement even though I filed my claim purchased two of these hoses during that time period
I never received a check on this claim although I submitted a claim form. I did receive an email requesting when I made my purchases and I let them know that information was submitted with the claim form. Quite disappointed in this one. I have a pocket hose in my front yard as we speak?!?
I just filled out the new form I was emailed and didn’t have any issues. It was a validation process- I asked. I have no problem with that.
BE ADVISED!!! I received a check for $7.00 on July 19 and deposited it. Today, July 25, the check was returned unpaid by the administrators bank! In addition i was charged a returned item fee of $8.00. Rather underwhelmed. I believe that criminality is involved and according to my local FBI office, if checks were sent to many states, it could become Federal. Have left a message and email for adminstrator, but i believe that this is just an object lesson in futility. TOP CLASS ACTIONS, YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF THIS.
Did you deposit at your bank? I have been told by my back to physically deposit those kinds of checks rather than use the app. Something about coding…
