Readers report receiving checks from a $1.95 million class action lawsuit settlement over Bath Saver spam phone calls.
The settlement benefits consumers who receive two or more phone calls from Bath Saver to a number on the National Do Not Call Registry over the course of a 12-month period.
The telemarketing class action lawsuit claims that Bath Saver contacted consumers with unsolicited, automated robocalls that they never consented to. In fact, plaintiffs and class members in the case had their phone numbers registered on the National Do Not Call registry — explicitly indicating they do not wish to receive robocalls and other unsolicited telemarketing.
Bath Saver agreed to pay $1.95 million to resolve the class action lawsuit. Under the terms of the settlement, consumers could receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. Top Class Actions readers report receiving payments of over $300 from the settlement.

Roundup label class action rebates
Readers are reportedly receiving payments from a $39.5 million settlement resolving a Roundup false advertising class action lawsuit.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased certain Roundup weed killer products during periods of time that vary by state.
Plaintiffs in the Roundup class action lawsuit claim the weed killer was falsely advertised with statements that it “targets an enzyme found in plants but not in people or pets.” According to the class action lawsuit, these statements are inaccurate and result in consumers purchasing the products and paying more for them than they otherwise would have.
Monsanto agreed to resolve these allegations with a $39.5 million settlement. Under the terms of the settlement, consumers could collect partial refunds for their Roundup purchases. Top Class Actions readers report receiving hundreds of dollars from the settlement.
The Roundup label class action lawsuit is Jones, et al. v. Monsanto Co., Case No. 4:19-CV-00102, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
Yahoo data breach settlement checks
A $117 million data breach settlement with Yahoo is sending payments to consumers whose information was compromised in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
The settlement benefits individuals in the United States and Israel who had a Yahoo, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance, Tumblr and/or Flickr account between Jan. 1, 2023, and Dec. 31, 2016.
According to the data breach class action lawsuit, Yahoo shared the personal information of billions of users. The company allegedly shared email addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, security passwords and other account information. Additional information was allegedly shared in massive data breaches in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Yahoo agreed to pay $117 million to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit. Under the terms of the settlement, consumers could either receive credit monitoring or a cash payment. Some readers reportedly received over $300 from the settlement.

EpiPen class action rebates
Readers report receiving cash payments from two EpiPen class action lawsuit settlements with Pfizer, Mylan and other pharmaceutical companies.
The settlement benefits individuals and entities who paid for or reimbursed the purchase of branded or generic EpiPens between Aug. 24, 2011, and Nov. 1, 2020.
The EpiPen class action lawsuit claimed the pharmaceutical companies violated federal antitrust laws by conspiring to prolong their monopoly profits. As a result of this scheme, the companies were allegedly able to increase the price of life-saving EpiPens by over 600 percent between 2007 and 2016.
Pfizer, Meridian Medical and King Pharmaceuticals resolved these claims with a $345 million settlement, while Mylan agreed to a $264 million settlement.
Under the terms of these two settlements, class members could receive a cash payment based on how much they paid for EpiPen products. One reader reportedly received a check of over $3,700 from the settlement!

Lithium-ion battery settlement checks
Consumers may start to receive payments from a lithium-ion battery settlement resolving an antitrust class action lawsuit.
The settlement benefits those who purchased portable computers, power tools, camcorders or replacement batteries which contained a lithium-ion cylindrical battery manufactured by certain companies.
The antitrust class action lawsuit accused Sony, LG, Hitachi, Maxwell and NEC of conspiring with other manufacturers to raise and fix the price of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries. As a result of this scheme, consumers allegedly overpaid for the batteries and products that came with these batteries such as laptops.
The defendants agreed to resolve the class action lawsuit with a settlement deal. Under the terms of the settlement, consumers could receive a cash payment based on the number of products they purchased. Some readers report receiving thousands of dollars from this settlement.

Apple iCloud servers class action rebates
Top Class Actions readers report receiving payments from a $14.8 million Apple iCloud settlement resolving claims that it stored consumer information in third-party servers.
The settlement benefits consumers who paid for an iCloud subscription between Sept. 16, 2015, and Jan. 31, 2016.
Plaintiffs in the iCloud class action lawsuit claim Apple wrongfully stored their information on third-party servers instead of their own infrastructure. According to the class action lawsuit, consumers wouldn’t have paid for an iCloud subscription or would have paid less if they knew that Apple couldn’t store their information on its own servers.
Apple agreed to resolve the iCloud class action lawsuit with a $14.8 million settlement. Under the terms of the settlement, consumers could receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. Readers have reportedly started to receive small payments from this settlement.

Zoom-bombing settlement checks
Consumers who experienced “Zoom bombing” during their online meetings are reportedly starting to receive payments from a Zoom class action lawsuit settlement.
The settlement benefits individuals who downloaded, used or opened the Zoom Meeting application between March 30, 2016, and July 30, 2021.
Zoom bombing became an issue during the COVID-19 pandemic when meetings moved online while people were social distancing. Unauthorized users allegedly hacked into Zoom meetings and showed inappropriate or disturbing content, even when these meetings involved children. A class action lawsuit claimed that Zoom failed to implement security measures to prevent Zoom bombing.
Zoom agreed to resolve the class action lawsuit with a settlement deal. Under the terms of the settlement, subscribers could claim either $25 or 15% of whatever they paid for a Zoom subscription, or $15 for those without a Zoom subscription. Im not sure exactly what is happening, but I believe when they were doing payments thru zelle, they got compromised. There are numerous products that I should of received compensation for. I mean I signed up for these class actions so e of them over 2-3 years ago. This is ridiculous.
