The plaintiffs claimed hackers had accessed consumers’ sensitive financial information in a 2017 data breach that affected more than 1,000 hotel locations. They alleged they were injured as a result of that breach.

The claim deadline was Sept. 12, 2020.

The company allegedly entered into anti-competitive agreements with other contact lens companies, allegedly ensuring the companies wouldn’t compete in online advertising and ensuring consumers would not be able to search online ads for the best deals on contacts, according to the class action lawsuit. This resulted in consumers paying higher prices.

The deadline to file a claim was Dec. 4, 2020.

The 1-800 Contacts Class Action Lawsuit was Thompson, et al. v. 1-800 Contacts Inc., et al., Case No. 2:16-cv-01183, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah

The plaintiffs filed their class action lawsuit after the company announced in January 2014 that malware had compromised its payment card systems. More than 370,000 payment card accounts were used at affected locations while the malware was active, according to the settlement administrator.

The claim deadline was Jan. 17, 2018.

Allegedly, the defendants deceptively marketed and sold DG Auto motor oils that were obsolete and could potentially harm vehicles, the plaintiffs argued.

The deadline to make a claim for refund benefits was June 8, 2021. The deadline for property damage claims was Aug. 23, 2021.
