The settlement was open to consumers who purchased Mowi salmon products between March 1, 2017, and May 13, 2021. Products were sold under brands such as Ducktrap River of Maine, Kendall Brook, Spruce Point, Marine Harvest, and Nova Lox.

Eligible products were labeled with marketing claims like “sustainably sourced,” “all natural,” and “from Maine.” According to plaintiffs in the Mowi class action lawsuit, these claims were false, misleading, and intended to trick customers into paying a higher price.

Mowi didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $1.3 million to resolve these claims. Under the terms of the settlement, consumers could receive up to $25 for purchased products.

The deadline to file a claim with the settlement was Sept. 10, 2021.

Plaintiffs in the case are represented by Jonathan Shub and Kevin Laukatis of Shub Law Firm LLC and Gary M. Klinger and Gary E. Mason of Mason Leitz & Klinger LLP.

According to a class action lawsuit against Reckitt Benckiser, Move Free Advanced supplements are falsely advertised as able to improve joint health. Plaintiffs in the case say the supplements can’t actually provide these benefits.

Reckitt Benckiser agreed to resolve these claims with a $50 million settlement. Under the terms of the deal, Move Free purchasers could collect $22 for every purchase they made.

The deadline to file a claim with the settlement was Nov. 8, 2021.

Class Members in the case are represented by Timothy G. Blood and Thomas J. O’Reardon II of Blood Hurst & O’Reardon LLP.

The settlement benefited consumers who purchased JELD-WEN or Masonite interior molded doors from third-party retailers in certain states between March 1, 2014, and Sept. 4, 2020.

According to the JELD-WEN class action lawsuit, the molded door company conspired with other manufacturers to artificially raise the price of interior molded doors. These actions allegedly violated antitrust agreements.

JELD-WEN and Masonite agreed to pay $19.5 million to resolve these allegations but didn’t admit any wrongdoing. Under the terms of the settlement, indirect purchasers were guaranteed payments of at least $25 with actual payments being $34.64.

The deadline to file a claim with the settlement was June 25, 2021.

Plaintiffs and Class Members in the settlement are represented by lawyers from Gustafson Gluek PLLC, Joseph Saveri Law Firm, and Robins Kaplan LLP.

The settlement included individuals who had to evacuate on April 26, 2018, due to the Superior Refinery explosion and fire.

The refinery explosion forced people within a three-mile radius to the east and west and a 10-mile radius to the south of the refinery to evacuate their homes. Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit say this evacuation resulted in economic losses, inconvenience, discomfort, and other damages.

Operators of Superior Refinery didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $1.05 million to resolve the claims. This settlement adds to voluntary compensation already paid by the company. Under the terms of the settlement, affected consumers were entitled to payments of $150 per individual or $300 per household. Actual payments ended up being slightly above projected amounts.

The deadline to file a claim and receive a payment was Nov. 3, 2021.

Plaintiffs in the case are represented by J. Gordon Rudd Jr., Patricia A. Bloodgood, June P. Hoidal, and Charles Toomajian III of Zimmerman Reed LLP.

Lovenox Class Action Settlement Paying Out

Consumers are receiving payments from a Lovenox class action settlement resolving antitrust claims.

The settlement benefited indirect purchasers of Lovenox or generic enoxaparin who paid for the medications in various states between Sept. 21, 2011, and Sept. 30, 2015. This includes hospitals, insurance companies, and consumers.

According to the class action lawsuit, pharmaceutical companies conspired together to raise the price of Lovenox and its generic alternatives. Through an illegal antitrust agreement, Sandoz and Momenta allegedly suppressed generic competitors and shared profits resulting from the scheme.

Defendants in the case didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay a total of $120 million to resolve these allegations. Under the terms of the settlement, indirect purchasers could receive cash payments based on the amount of medication purchased.

The deadline to participate in the settlement was Sept. 1, 2020.

Class Members in the case are represented by Brendan P. Glackin of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP.
