Find an attorney

How Do I Find an Attorney?

If you’re planning on filing a lawsuit, your choice of attorney can make an important difference about the success of your case. When you’re looking for an attorney to represent you, you should look for a lawyer who has experience with the type of case you’re planning to file. Finding the right lawyer can be overwhelming. Although internet search engines are a useful tool to help you get started, there are other resources that may be more helpful. In fact, some attorneys may already be representing plaintiffs like you.

Top Class Actions is a great resource for consumers who are thinking of taking legal action. We work with a large network of attorneys who help consumers get compensation for the harm they’ve suffered and hold companies accountable for their actions. You can find a list of active investigations here. If you think you might be eligible to participate, simply fill out the form on the investigation page and an attorney will contact you if you qualify. There is no fee or obligation to use this service. [Related: “What is a Lawsuit Investigation?“]

If you don’t see your legal issue represented in our active investigations, you can submit information about your situation to our network of attorneys with our Start a Class Action feature. If you have a potential case, an attorney will contact you to schedule a free consultation and explain your legal rights. The attorney will talk with you about the next steps you should take regarding your potential class action lawsuit. There is no fee to use this service, and you are under no obligation to hire the attorney.

What Should I Look for in a Lawyer?

The most important consideration when you’re choosing someone to represent you is the lawyer’s experience. Ask the attorney if he or she has had prior experience with cases that are similar to yours. If you don’t feel comfortable asking questions, you may want to schedule a consultation with a different attorney.

Filing a lawsuit is a big commitment and involves an ongoing relationship with your counsel. It is important to find an attorney that you can count on to provide reliable legal advice and who will answer your questions openly and honestly. Your lawyer should be able to tell you about the strengths and weaknesses of your case as well as the approach he or she will take to build the strongest possible case on your behalf.

I am interested in forcing Bayer to assume responsibility for their product Seresto. The advertising states: “Dogs will be dogs. Whether they get into the garbage can out back or dig up that old shoe in the yard, Seresto® for dogs can help keep them protected from fleas and ticks for 8 continuous months. The innovative Sustained Release Technology of Seresto® provides effective flea and tick protection in an easy-to-apply, non-greasy collar.”
I used this product and it failed 3 times. My dod (a therapy dog) was diagnosed with Lime disease positive, we have found not only ticks but also fleas on him while wearing the Soresto only 5 months instead of 8 as advertised. Since our dog is also a swimmer, we changed the collar every 5 months, even though it is advertised to work for 8 months without conditions. The result is continuing Dr. bills for testing, and suffering for dor and owner. Our dog is only 5 years old now.

I am interested in starting a class action lawsuit against Verizon Wireless. Prior to their current billing system, I, and countless others who made any changes to their account,, not on the very billing date, received both a “prorated bill and a month in advance bill. Thus, if one required to make any changes to the account every month within the same year, you would be double billed 12 times!!! Instead of a normal 200 bill, you would get a 400 bill. This has got to be fraudulent. Also, I bought and loved my Samsung Note 7, was forced to turn it in, had to buy the Samsung 7 edge, hate it and am now stuck with it for the next 2 years. Please help

I had built a House on Family owned property in 1992 , in 2009 when the housing crash I was upside down with the mortgage with Bank of America. I filled paper work for HARP with BOA.
Gave them a week and called to check on the application , they said there was a form missing , I did at the time did everything in my power to get everything to them, but they always seam to have a piece missing .
Called in every week for several months , ether they responded that they were back logged or didn’t have all the paperwork , or both. In the mean time I drained what little I had in my retirement to keep up with the Montage and Taxes. Spring of 2010 I had to put my house up for short sale. Lost hundreds of thousands in sweet equity. I did not know there would be any recourse , until I saw an add on TV that others were suing BOA claiming the same as myself.
Still do not know if there is.

Something very similar happened to me. Boa told me same thing every week, month, ect… there was always a paper missing. I spent a fortune of time and money on refaxing and resubmitting, all the while being told that i did qualify, get that missing document in, we will be in contact. After a year, they turned me down, i was forced to sell way below market value, lost a fortune in equity. I saw an ad for a class action, never saw it again. What happened?

I feel that my sister passed away at UAB IN B’ham,Al. I had went on Health care malpractice.com. I sent all her medical records and they had a neurosurgeon to look at them. They were suppose to find me an attorney but didn’t.Ihave her autopsy that the letter he sent stated she died an unlawful death. She also had breast cancer years ago and her hair never grew back. This is mentioned in her autopsy. She also had a port that was supposed to be taken out. She had 3 only took 2 out. I don’t know if this is the same as a ivac filter. This was also mentioned in the autopsy. My sister had a routine angiogram and went into cardiac arrest. They had no crash cart in the room . They coded her and was doing cpr on her as they brought her out of that room. Told her before that test she would be going home. She had a AAA which she had for years. They did an ultrasound and said the AAA was fine. She had 4 fractured ribs upon autopsy. I believe the ruptured her aneurysm while performing the angiogram. A resident and a nurse followed us all the way outside and said nothing went right in there and had the papers to sign for the autopsy. There is no cause of death on certificate. It will be 2yrs in July1st . Please ask to see her medical records. There was only a Dr and a nurse in the angio room no anethesiologist.
