A number of class action settlements opened in April for consumers to make claims for rebates through May and beyond.

The class action settlements resolve claims around data privacy, price fixing, false advertising, a gift card scam and product defects, among other things. 

A company may agree to a class action settlement as an alternative to litigating a complaint or as a way to garner good faith with consumers. 

Consumers can check the list below to see if they are eligible for rebates in recently opened class action settlements. More class action rebates can be found on Top Class Actions’ open settlement page.


Meta to pay $725M to end claims it shared Facebook user data with third parties without permission

Meta Platforms has agreed to pay $725 million to resolve claims the company failed to get permission before allegedly sharing the data of Facebook users with third parties. 

The class action settlement benefits a nationwide class of current and former Facebook users who used the social networking platform between May 24, 2007, and Dec. 22, 2022. 

Individuals who want to make a claim to join the Facebook class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 25, 2023. 

Chicken of the Sea to pay $6.5M to put to bed claims it colluded to raise, fix canned tuna prices

Chicken of the Sea has agreed to pay $6.5 million to resolve claims the company committed antitrust violations by allegedly working with other companies to increase and fix the price of canned tuna. 

The class action settlement benefits consumers and entities from a number of different states who purchased packaged tuna products that were 40 ounces or more and produced by Chicken of the Sea, StarKist, Bumble Bee, Lion America, Big Catch and others between June 2011 and December 2016.

Consumers and entities who purchased the tuna products directly from DOT Foods, Sysco, US Foods, Sam’s Club, Walmart and Costco will also be eligible to benefit from the class action settlement. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by June 21, 2023, in order to be eligible to receive benefits under the Chicken of the Sea class action settlement. 

Biomat, Talecris Plasma Resources and Interstate Blood Bank have agreed to pay a combined $16.75 million to resolve claims the companies violated biometric privacy law in Illinois by allegedly collecting fingerprint scans without consent. 

The class action settlement benefits individuals who scanned their finger using a scanning device when donating plasma at either a Biomat USA or Talecris Plasma Resource center in Illinois between June 10, 2015, and June 10, 2022. 

Individuals who want to make a claim to join the biometric fingerprint scanner class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 24, 2023. 

Safeway, Albertsons to pay $107M to end claims of BOGO sale false advertising

Safeway and Albertsons have agreed to pay $107 million to resolve claims the companies falsely advertised some of their products during “buy one, get one” (BOGO) sales. 

The class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased certain meat products included in BOGO promotions at Safeway locations in Oregon using a Safeway Club Card between May 4, 2015, and Sept. 7, 2016.

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by July 10, 2023, to be eligible for rebates from the BOGO class action settlement. 

DOJ secures nearly $4M from Walmart for gift card scam remission program

The U.S. Department of Justice has been able to secure nearly $4 million from Walmart in a remission program created to recover funds frozen on Walmart gift cards that were suspected by the company to be part of a gift card scam. 

The remission program benefits consumers who purchased a Walmart gift card between April 1, 2016, and July 31, 2017, as a result of a scammer directing them to buy it.

Individuals who want to receive a payment under the Walmart gift card remission program must file a remission form by July 14, 2023. 

Mattress Firm agrees to pay nearly $5M over claims it sold defective, dangerous Bed Tech bed frames

Mattress Firm has agreed to pay $4.9 million to end claims the American mattress store chain sold Bed Tech bed frames that were defective and dangerous. 

Consumers who purchased certain model numbers of the Bed Tech HR Platform bed frame between April 8, 2015, and April 8, 2021, are eligible to benefit from the class action settlement. 

Class members must file a valid claim form by Aug. 4, 2023, to be eligible to benefit from the Mattress Firm class action settlement.

Vimeo to pay $2.25M to resolve claims it violated BIPA by collecting data from photos uploaded to Magisto 

Vimeo has agreed to pay $2.25 million to resolve claims the company violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) by allegedly collecting biometric data from photos uploaded to its Magisto video editing app without first obtaining consent

The class action settlement benefits Illinois residents who either appeared in or uploaded a photo or video to the Magisto app and who had their face detected in it between Sept. 20, 2014, and Jan. 20, 2023. 

Individuals who want to make a claim in Vimeo settlement must submit a valid claim form by June 5, 2023. 

Parker Hannifin agrees to $1.75M settlement over alleged failure to prevent data breach

Parker Hannifin has agreed to pay $1.75 million to put to bed claims the company failed to prevent a March 2022 data breach that compromised the private information of its current and former employees. 

Current and former Parker Hannifin employees who were notified about the March 2022 data breach are eligible to receive compensation from the settlement.

Class members must submit a valid claim form by July 14, 2023, to receive benefits under the Parker Hannifin class action settlement. 

Indeck Power has agreed to pay more than $66,000 to end claims the equipment company violated Illinois’ biometric privacy law by allegedly collecting the biometrics of its employees without consent. 

The settlement benefits current and former Indeck Power workers who had their biometric identifiers collected by the company without first giving their consent between Feb. 19, 2016, and March 10, 2023. 

Individuals are not required to submit a claim form to be eligible to receive compensation from the Indeck Power class action settlement.

Claims FleetPride violated biometric privacy law leads to $72,250 settlement

FleetPride has agreed to pay $72,250 to resolve claims the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts company violated Illinois’ biometric privacy law by scanning its workers’ hands and fingerprints without first obtaining consent. 

The class action settlement benefits FleetPride workers in Illinois who, without first giving consent, had their finger or hand scanned by a timekeeping system between Dec. 31, 2015, and Dec. 31, 2020.

No claim form is required to receive compensation under the FleetPride settlement.

    Does anyone feel theyve been dealt a loust hand by Southwest during their meltdown,having never recieved their refnd or an underhanded company called”Uplift”,who steals bookings and takes percentages of the ticket sale on Southwest without your knowl dge at all????I NEVER HEARD of them until I got an email saying “Welcome”,yada,yada,yada.Southwest has cast me into the abyss and says Uplift has my refund.But try to get them to answer you.
