Good morning, everyone!
Pretty darn amazing that we now number more than 600,000 newsletter subscribers. That’s really rocking! A heck of a big difference from when I started the company, tracked down 32 friends and family with email addresses, and said ‘Congratulations! You’re now the inaugural subscribers to my free newsletter.’ My friend Renee likes to remind me, ‘I was one of those first few and I STILL look forward to hearing from you every week!’ That’s good. To be my friend, you have to be patient. I’m pretty darn high energy, I’m actually pretty far away from being politically correct, and if you take me too seriously, you will pay for it because I’ll start telling you some yarn that has JUST enough truth in it for you to believe it was possible before I pull the rug out from under you, giggle, and hope I don’t get a punch in the shoulder for pulling your leg for the last 10 minutes. Yep, that pretty much sums me up.
It’s odd today because last night was something that doesn’t happen to me very much, but, I know you’ve probably experienced it. I was up, ALL NIGHT. It wasn’t a ‘fun’ up all night, living the evening and early morning like I was 21 again, just hoping to get 4 hours of sleep so I could do enough not to get fired in my day job. LOL. Nope, this was you’re exhausted, lay down in bed, close your eyes, start to fall asleep, but toss and turn all night. Usually, there’s a reason for this for me. I’m stressed about work, family, or some other life event that’s not letting my brain turn off. Not last night. I tried reading, meditating, walking around the house, everything I could think of and I didn’t ‘sleep’ until around 6:30 AM. At that point I think my body just gave up and conked out for 4 hours or so. Thank God I have a beautiful and understanding bride who took care of the kids in the morning. I couldn’t do this thing called life without that solid and awesome partner in my corner. She’s my rock!
Today, I’m lethargic, nauseous, and just generally not feeling great. All because lack of sleep. I’m usually pretty damn chipper, toss a cup of coffee in me, and I get downright bouncy. But not today. Hopefully, I will figure out what’s bothering me and get it addressed today. I LOVE sleep. I look forward to bedtime every night. The nice cool sheets, with the ceiling fan on providing a slight breeze, a quiet house, cool room, and my pillows adjusted ‘just so’ so I’m happily elevated and ready to go into the quiet oblivion of dreams and impossible visions (I had a book idea last week in a dream—still figuring that one out.) All I want tonight is a restful night of sleep. I’m sure you can understand. When you kick butt every day like me, you need some rest. So, that’s all for today’s note. A little background on me, trying to figure out the reason we get kept up at night. Now, back to work! It IS the end of the month! Time to talk to more of my awesome clients and probably grab some coffee LOL!
Before I go, here are some more updates I thought you would be interested in!
That’s it for now! I hope nothing is keeping you up tonight! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
Scott Hardy
President
