Good morning, Everyone!
I hope you enjoyed your Presidents Day holiday, if you got it off! It seemed everyone I spoke to, who wasn’t employed by the government, had to work. I took a long lunch with my girls and my beautiful bride for a very manly endeavor. A pedicure! The ladies had their toes and nails done, I stuck with my size 13 feet! I asked the woman working on my feet if I had to pay extra since I’m so big! She giggled and said ‘no!’ Phew! To all you manly men out there who don’t get pedicures on occasion, take your women out and GET’ER done! Man! It’s great! Unfortunately, I don’t get to do it very often, but it’s a fun family bonding experience. Especially when the girls are yelling out the colors they should paint my toes. For the record, no paint touched my toes! I just enjoy the experience!
On towards work! We received word that a couple of new interesting settlements are about to be approved. We should be working on them this week and launching them next week. Very exciting! We also were told that one of our clients is filing a new lawsuit within the next two weeks, and once it’s filed, we’ll be running an investigation to bring those impacted into the loop. The potential damages per person? Tens of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars, per person. All due to alleged mismanagement of software by a large investment firm. WOW! It’s crazy that people have lost that much money AND DON’T KNOW IT MIGHT NOT BE THEIR FAULT! That’s something I learned by attending the PIABA conventions. If you, as an investor, lose a large sum of money ($10,000+), it’s a good idea to run it by a qualified attorney. Sometimes it’s not just dumb luck or the market’s fault. Sometimes there are more sinister factors at work keeping the ‘small time’ investor down. Interesting stuff!
That’s all for now! Here are some more items I thought might be interesting for you!
Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
Scott Hardy
