Sylvania Headlight False Advertising Class Action Settlement – Osram Sylvania Inc. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it overstated the brightness, road visibility and life expectancy of some of its premium headlights. Consumers who purchased certain types of Sylvania headlights may be eligible for compensation from the false advertising class action settlement.
Quinolone Antibiotics Such As CiproMay Cause SJS, Liver Failure – Quinolone antibiotics, including Cipro, Levaquin andAvelox may be linked to Stevens Johnson Syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis and liver failure. If you took a quinolone antibiotic and were diagnosed with one of these conditions, you may qualify to pursue compensation for your injuries.
Peterson’s Nelnet Fax Spam TCPA Class Action Settlement – A proposed settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging Peterson’s Nelnet LLC violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending fax advertisements. If you received a fax advertisement from Peterson’s Nelnet, you could be entitled to compensation from the class action settlement!
J&J Moves to Dismiss Baby Powder Cancer Class Action Lawsuit – Johnson & Johnson has filed a motion to dismiss a class action lawsuit alleging its popular baby powder is linked to ovarian cancer in women, arguing that the plaintiff cannot represent the Class because she did not develop ovarian cancer. If you used a talcum powder product and were diagnosed with ovarian cancer, you may have a legal claim.
Bass Pro Outdoor World Call Recording Class Action Settlement – A settlement has been reached in a call recording class action lawsuit alleging Bass Pro Outdoor World LLC and others recorded telephone calls in violation of certain laws. Some consumers who communicated with Bass Pro representatives from a telephone could be eligible for payment from the Bass Pro settlement.
French Study Warns Against Dangerous Benicar Side Effect – A study conducted by researchers at the University of Paris found that patients who were taking Benicar were several times more likely to develop a condition called villous atrophy than those taking other blood pressure medication. Villous atrophy can interfere with a person’s ability to absorb nutrients, which can lead to chronic dehydration and malnutrition. If you used Benicar for at least four months and were hospitalized for severe gastrointestinal problems, you may have a legal claim.
Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Class Action Settlement – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has reached a $420 million class action settlement over allegations it overcharged workers’ compensation premiums. Class Members of the Ohio BWC settlement include certain private non-group rated employers.
Byetta Pancreatic Cancer Lawsuit Alleges Wrongful Death – A Kentucky woman has filed a Byetta lawsuit, alleging the drug caused her husband to develop pancreatic cancer which ultimately led to his death. She alleges her husband would never have used the drug if he knew of the pancreatic cancer risk. If you or a loved one were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer or thyroid cancer after taking Byetta or other type-2 diabetes drugs, you may be able to take legal action against the drug’s manufacturer.
NFL Concussion Class Action Settlement – The National Football League has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to warn players and concealed the risks of brain injuries. Retired players, legal representatives of incapacitated or deceased players, and families of deceased players may be eligible for benefits from the NFL concussion settlement.
GM Ignition Switch Lawsuit Filed After Highway Crash – A Colorado father and daughter filed a GM ignition switch lawsuit after the daughter was involved in a crash. They allege a sudden gust of wind caused the car to switch into the accessory position, causing her to be unable to steer the car. Allegedly due to the ignition switch defect, the airbags failed to deploy in the resulting crash.

Update from the President and CEO of Top Class Actions
Good morning! I hope you’re doing well! Did you get yesterday off? I worked a bit more than a half day so I consider it off! We upgraded our servers over the weekend so I hope you notice a BIG performance improvement! We have! Things are super speedy now at Top Class Actions. If you got any page errors in the past month or so (especially on Tuesdays) you shouldn’t any more. We switched hosts, moved to our own dedicated server architecture, and are working hard to make sure that you can easily and QUICKLY access all of the settlements and lawsuits updates on Top Class Actions. That’s what I got to do on Friday night and Saturday morning. IT migration and QA work to make sure the site’s performing as needed. Monday morning was spent spinning down the old host. Thankfully my beautiful wife took girls out so I could get my work done. Marrying an entrepreneur isn’t easy, as she will attest!
On the home front, today should be fun. We’re heading to a friend’s house for a small BBQ. It’s one of those big life changes that happen when you have kids. Before kids it would be have been a big party with lots of people and no kids. Now it’s a small party, just our two families, and our kids who all love playing with each other. Nowadays the friends I hang out with the most are those that have kids my kids love to play with. I still have my old buddies who I can call if I ever need ANYTHING, but, I just can’t see them as often as I used to. I never understood that when I was 30 and didn’t have kids. WHY CAN’T MY BUDDIES COME AND HANG OUT?!?! WHY DON’T THEY WANT TO HAVE SOME BEERS AND WATCH SOME FOOTBALL?!?!? Priorities change for good reason. I’m looking forward to seeing our friends and instead of hearing “Hey Scott, check THIS out!!!” followed by a crash I will hear “Daddy, watch this!” followed by a crash and occasional tears. I guess some things don’t change. ;) I hope you had a great holiday!
