Toyota issued a recall for approximately 102,000 of its model year 2022-2023 Toyota Tundra and Lexus LX vehicles over concerns they could suffer a loss of motive power.
Certain machining debris may not have been cleared from the engines of the recalled Toyota Tundra and Lexus LX vehicles when they were being produced, according to the recall.
“In the involved vehicles, this can lead to potential engine knocking, engine rough running, engine no start and/or a loss of motive power,” Toyota said, adding that a loss of motive power while driving at high speeds could “increase the risk of a crash.”
Only the conventional gas model of the affected Lexus LX vehicles are included in the Toyota recall.

4 thoughts onToyota recall issued for debris in engines of Tundra, Lexus LX vehicles
I have a 22 Toyota tundra the fuel line Ruptured while I was driving when i came to a stop i realized i was in a cloud of atomized fuel I’m just amazed it didn’t explode. I have four kids three of them are still in car seats. There is no way I I feel safe, driving them around with all the very serious Safety recalls on this truck. I don’t know what to do.
Incredible that these companies continually get away with this without real consequences while consumers pay the price, some with their lives.
