Momentum Solar Do Not Call List Class Action Lawsuit Overview:
- Who: Plaintiff George Moore filed a class action lawsuit against Pro Custom Solar LLC, also known as Momentum Solar.
- Why: Moore alleges Momentum Solar broke the law by contacting him despite registering his number on the do not call list.
- Where: The class action lawsuit was filed in Illinois federal court.
Momentum Solar broke the law by calling individuals on the National Do Not Call List without their consent, a new class action lawsuit alleges.
Lead plaintiff George Moore claims the company’s use of a telemarketing campaign to market its goods and services violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA). Moore wants to represent a nationwide Class of consumers who received similar calls from the company on phone numbers they put on the do not call list.
Moore says he never sought out information about Momentum Solar before he received “several calls” from the company – despite his number being registered on the National Do Not Call List – attempting to sell him on the idea of investing in its goods and services.
Consumers are able to register their phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry to indicate they do not want to receive any telephone solicitations. “A listing on the Registry ‘must be honored indefinitely, or until the registration is cancelled by the consumer or the telephone number is removed by the database administrator’,” states the class action lawsuit.
The TCPA, meanwhile, regulates the telemarketing industry and is a recognition by Congress that unrestricted telemarketing is intrusive and an invasion of privacy, according to the class action lawsuit.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is required by the TCPA to “initiate a rulemaking proceeding concerning the need to protect residential telephone subscribers’ privacy rights to avoid receiving telephone solicitations to which they object,” according to the class action lawsuit.
Nuisance Momentum Solar Calls Violate Do Not Call List
Moore alleges his privacy was violated by the Momentum Solar, that he was subjected to annoying and harassing calls that constituted a nuisance, had his phone line tied up, and was not provided with his express written consent that the calls could be placed.
The plaintiff is demanding a jury trial and seeking injunctive relief and treble damages of up to $1,500 for himself and all Class Members.
A similar class action lawsuit was filed earlier this month against Grand Caribbean Cruises alleging it violated the TCPA by sending pre-recorded messages to customers without their consent.

Several calls from different numbers, every day. Sooo annoying!!!!
I at first starting blocking them, but they just call from another and another number and never a voicemail. I answer once in a while and say nothing or use a strange voice and you can hear the call center or just get a hangup.
I get multiple calls daily. They keep calling from a different number after I block the last one. I’ve had 5 calls since 9am today from them. All different numbers. I’ve been on the do not call list for years.
I’m getting over 5 calls from Momentum Solar on a daily basis. Even they have called me on Sundays. I keep on blocking their numbers, but it’s not working. They are still calling with a new number every time. Thus, I have called them back from a recent call to ask them to have me removed from their calling list and their sales rep hanged up. I’ve called back a number from yesterday voicemail, and the number was disconnected. This tells me that they might be generating new numbers to circumvent their blocked numbers.
I get 3-5 calls a day from them. Impossible to stop.
I’m getting 4 or 5 calls a day from the same Indian call center about solar panels. This has been going on for over a year. They won’t take me off their call list. They don’t care that I’m not interested. They don’t care that I already have solar. They always call back. If I let them work their way through their script, they swear at me once they look up my address on google earth and see that my house already has solar: “Fuck you bro! You already got solar up the ass! Why are you wasting my time?”
Multiple daily calls from different numbers for WEEKS
I receive multiple calls from these folks every day…. you block one number, and they just use another…. I’ve said please don’t call, I’m on the no call list…. none of it matters….
I receive calls several times a day from several different numbers. I have tried blocking, but they just call from a new number. It has gotten out of control with their calls.
They keep calling me. The last time I told them to stop they guy laughed and said I wouldn’t have picked up the phone if I didn’t want to talk to him. I’d love to get in on this class action. These people suck.
Just had a call from them 20 min ago. They call from different numbers, pre recorded messages and have pre recorded replies that state they are a real person but it’s not. I’ve called their main line. And they are not taking it seriously. You can’t block the numbers bc they will call from a new one! I’ve been on the dnc since 2021. Please add me to this lawsuit. I’ve never signed up for solar panels nor have I ever Google solar panels or anything solar in my life. I do not know how they got my info.
