Internal NuvaRing Side Effects Studies Released

Organon has a headache on its hands when it comes to NuvaRing side effects, and there is only a scant chance that they can avoid successful attacks from NuvaRing blood clot lawsuit attorneys. The judge overseeing the NuvaRing multi-district litigation ordered the manufacturer that it has to release studies and other internal documents about the safety of the drug.
Most companies initially plead that there are trade secrets at risk if they release this information, but that wasn’t the case, the judge noted. However, Organon does have one way to combat any evidence this shows that their subsidiaries knew of the side effects while the product was on the market. However, it’s entirely possible that the plaintiffs won’t have to worry about that. Outside, independent research indicates that there are significant risks. A Danish study published in May found that the risk for Nuvaring side effects like blood clots and pulmonary embolisms was nearly double that of birth control pills. Some other medical experts put the risk even higher. The notoriously conservative FDA said the NuvaRing side effects risk were about 50 percent more.
There are also the numbers. Close to a thousand cases have already been added to the multi-district litigation by NuvaRing stroke lawsuit lawyers, and that does not include the ones that have yet to be added from other courts. There are also the more than 1,000 reports of blood clots and other side effects that the FDA has already received. The numbers do not seem to be in Organon’s favor, even if the drug remains profitable with nearly 1,000,000 users in the U.S.
